“This is a gem that everyone should know about, but I'm thrilled there isn't a 30+ minute wait every time I go.
As someone who loves coffee, I still don't understand how their coffee tastes so good. Their plain, black coffee and Americanos taste out of this world. Some of the best coffee if not the best I've ever had. The food is always fresh, tastes/seems made to order, and again the coffee is amazing. A friend who doesn't drink caffeine loves their decaf, and as someone who doesn't drink decaf, even I like their decaf.“

Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. “My favorite restaurant in the world. Seriously. Hands down. When I go to Chicago, I am making reservations at the Purple Pig for at least two of the nights. Bone marrow and pig ears are a must. But you can’t go wrong. Did I mention it’s my favorite?“

“We’re huge fans of The Bear, which steered us here on our Chicago trip - so glad we found this place! We loved the mushroom adobo and longnanisa breakfast sandwich! “We had a wonderful dinner at Prairie Grass Cafe. The spring rolls were loaded with delicious perfectly cooked shrimp and the accompanying sauce (sweet chili with garlic and cilantro) plays nicely with them. The flounder with roasted carrots and parsnip-potato purée was as delicious as it looks. It was generously portioned and beautifully plated. We also enjoyed the mussels with parsley, shallots, and breadcrumbs pasta. My husband is Sicilian and it reminded us of the pasta con le sarde that we love to have in Sicily. The mussels were plump and delicious. The wine list is very nice. We found wines we really enjoyed and they were reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Attems, Pinot Grigio, Friuli, Italy ‘22 with our mussels and flounder, and the Fritz Haag, Riesling, Germany ‘21 with our pumpkin pie for dessert. Service was perfect.“

“One of the best burgers I have had in the area, perfectly cooked, soaking wet, and full of flavor. Good prices and great atmosphere if you sit outside, although the interior is very load and feels like a sports-bar, which I’m pretty sure is the intention.“

“I was looking forward to dining at Feld as it struck me as a restaurant with a distinct point of view. However, it fell well short of the admittedly lofty expectations I had set for it. My favorite part of the experience was the staff- everyone was passionate, genuine, and welcoming. The food had some really good moments throughout. I really appreciated the attempt at showcasing the season’s bounty in all its forms, even if it meant an inordinate number of dishes starring tomatoes. And overall, the food was tasty. Where it fell short to me was in the quality of the ingredients and in how they were presented. If you’re going to feature a thick slice of an heirloom tomato at this price point, it better come close to being the best slice of tomato that I’m going to ever eat. Unfortunately, it didn’t come anywhere near. Same for the other fruit on offering- I’ve eaten better berries and melon bought from Whole Foods. That being said, the different preparations of corn were delightful. The plating was very hit or miss. And while I appreciated ending the meal by the backyard fire pit, I think the garden variety s’more offered was a missed opportunity to end with something more interesting. Overall, I liked Feld but didn’t love it. The price point is too steep for its current iteration. I think there is a lot of potential here but also a lot to sort through.“

“I had a great time wine tasting here! We sat out on their patio, which was secluded and quiet. The perfect armosphere for a catch up with friends or a date night. The food is delicious too. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche. On Wednesdays, they do happy hour specials on tasting flights! I really enjoyed the Mediterranean white flight. Their broader wine list is also incredibly diverse, representing many regions and flavors. I’ll definitely be back!“

“This is the place to go if you’re looking for a delightfully creative cocktail list and scrumptious food options. We hit this place for brunch and were not disappointed. We had the burger, sausage, jam and egg sando on a milk bun, the earl grey cinnamon (it comes warm by the way), fried potatoes and the matcha raspberry GF cake and Bloody Marys. All of it I would order again with the exception of the GF situation.
