“We had a wonderful dinner at Prairie Grass Cafe. The spring rolls were loaded with delicious perfectly cooked shrimp and the accompanying sauce (sweet chili with garlic and cilantro) plays nicely with them. The flounder with roasted carrots and parsnip-potato purée was as delicious as it looks. It was generously portioned and beautifully plated. We also enjoyed the mussels with parsley, shallots, and breadcrumbs pasta. My husband is Sicilian and it reminded us of the pasta con le sarde that we love to have in Sicily. The mussels were plump and delicious. The wine list is very nice. We found wines we really enjoyed and they were reasonably priced. We enjoyed the Attems, Pinot Grigio, Friuli, Italy ‘22 with our mussels and flounder, and the Fritz Haag, Riesling, Germany ‘21 with our pumpkin pie for dessert. Service was perfect.“

“Amazing service! Enjoyed a birthday dinner for my husband, and the meal was taking a little long to come out. We didn't even say anything since it was a Saturday, and understood things gets busy. Manager came over immediately and said dessert was on the house along with an additional taco (the culprit of the delayed meals)!“

“Music was very loud in bar. Just a little lower would have made it more pleasant experience. Bar tender was excellent, but she had too many people to serve by herself, the people Sitting at the bar and all the bar tables. They should have 2 people behind bar to wait on tables and bar. It took awhile to be served. Overall really enjoyed time and great place to visit.“

“My flight got canceled so it was the end of a long day when I finally made it to the Hilton Garden Inn, but the service at the hotel was great and the Cobb salad at the restaurant tasted like I had just picked everything fresh from the garden. Definitely stay here again!“

“My Aunt Marcia Hoffman turned 90 and is a rehab center where she is confined to her room . We wanted to do something special so we call Scotty’s and the made a meal to order for pick up. It worked out great and she loved it . Thank you Scott and the entire staff for making her 90th as special as it could be under the circumstances !“

“Don’t order the short rib mini sandwiches! They were 90 percent fat. When I informed the waitress she indicated that there is always fat on those sandwiches. My sandwich was mostly grizzle and fat. My friend had the same thing but hers at least had some meat.“

“Nice choices. As a vegetarian I would go back. The cheesey bread felt almost healthy. The only drawback was the noise. We were hoarse when we left and it was just 3 of us at one table. Deserts were good but made to share, one desert would have been fine we got two“

“We have discovered this place 3 years ago when we are searching for an outdoor casual dining. What we found was a great place that had outdoor seating on a deck patio with umbrellas and a TV set to watch sporting events. The service was friendly, and the food was great. The drinks were very reasonable. The menu was large having everything from sandwiches to dinners. We never had a bad experience there and brought family and friends to enjoy the evening sitting outside. We always come back.“

“Convito cafe has long been one of our favorites. Our kids give us gift card every Christmas. Consistent quality , keeping old faves on menu along with specials per season. Tonight my husband loved the calves liver and I loved the fettuccini with fro magic and peas and pancetta. We each enjoyed the Caesar salads. That's fromagia not magic. And your desserts are always yummy!“

“It is so refreshing to meet an owner who is actively present in his restaurant. Mark Salmon enthusiastically and creatively arranged for my friend and I to dine outside (our request), despite the rain. We stayed dry under umbrellas and thanks to Sandra, our amazing waitress, we celebrated my birthday with fine food (impressive menu choices and food presentation) and great company! It was my first time dining at 501 Local and this restaurant met and exceeded my high standards in every way! It is a hidden gem and our new fav restaurant. Highly recommend!!“

“We had a 30th high school reunion meet up at the Caldwell Grille last night. Mayra and Bridget were awesome with our group the whole evening. They were very accommodating for our group that kept expanding, friendly, and professional. The food and drinks were also great.“

“This is one of my husband’s and my favorite place! We were a big fan of Creperie St. Germaine so we are so happy that they haven’t completely changed the delicious menu and the interior is the same cozy place we love! And the crepes are to die for! This place is freaking AWESOME!!!“

The waitstaff and bartenders, the food runners, and managers all helped to run a smooth luncheon, the busboy was attentive and kind! “The atmosphere at the English Room in Lake Forest is very nice calm, classic, and a beautiful setting. The drink presentation was gorgeous. But the food itself was just okay, nothing special. I went to see what the hype was about, but overall I wasn’t very impressed.“

“(*Bistro hours at the end!) - It’s a “Bistro,” with a limited menu, not a full scale restaurant. I checked in late and appreciated they were still open! The Cobb Salad was good for me. They do have a FULL BAR, and poured a very nice Bacardi & Coke for me! The next morning I designed a Breakfast Bowl from their menu, and had a drip coffee. I was not able to finish the entire breakfast, it was VERY GOOD! (See photo). CURRENTLY breakfast hours are M-F, 6:00 AM-9:30 AM, and weekends 7:00 AM-10:00 AM. Dinner hours 5:00 PM-10:00 PM, seven days a week. Menu photos also attached. All the staff was great!“

“Has a nice ambience when you walk in. Food is always good, it's one of the reasons we come back. Clean and nicely decorated, I appreciate coming in and seeing the Christmas decorations. We are Eastern Orthodox Christians and celebrate Christmas on the 7th so it's nice to see the decorations.“

From the point of discussing the space, to reviewing the contract, to discussing options, to answering ALL of our questions, to the tasting, to the day of, our event coordinator (not sure that's her specific title) Amanda was nothing short of stellar. She was patient, thorough, and accommodating ensuring that my daughter was comfortable in a very important time of her life. Our event captain (again not sure of her title) Kylie also was amazing -- handling each of our requests quickly and pleasantly. These two ladies are an asset to your company & should be commended for their fantastic work ethic. All the event staff from the bartenders, to servers, to bus boys were pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious as well. Our event was amazing & memorable largely due to the associates we interacted with.“
