“Really enjoyed my visit here ☕✨. The food was delicious, the coffee tasted amazing, and I especially loved that it was served in a ceramic mug instead of a paper cup 🥰☕. The customer service was outstanding - everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the visit 🙌. Even though the place was super busy on a Sunday morning, the atmosphere felt lively and enjoyable with a great overall vibe 🎶🍳. I also noticed how quickly the staff cleaned the tables after guests left, which kept everything looking neat and organized 🧼✨. Even the restroom was spotless 🚻. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again soon 💛😋”

A lot of Chinese American restaurants can have a sort of mass produced feel and use the same suppliers but you can tell a lot of love and pride goes into the food here.”

“I had an engagement party for my Son and his fiancée. It was in the lawn next to our building on the lake in Chicago. A casually elegant setting. We had a lot of different food prepared professionally and I made salads, and we grilled steaks, burgers and chicken. Khmai was enlisted to do all the appetizers, some additional salads and various spreads and dips. I have Mai my approximate budget, let her know what I was preparing and planned to cook and asked her to do her best to come up with what she thought would be best as complimentary. She outdid herself. The staff is lovely to work with, helpful and genuine. My guests were blown away by the delicious and complex tastes we are not used to since most had never had Cambodian food prior. Fermented catfish dip? Wonderful, all the rolls veg or not were terrific, shrimp toast was my personal favorite, salads crisp, spicy and everything felt special and unique. Flavors so rich and vibrant felt like a special treat. It was perfect served with standard picnic fare a little elevated. The atmosphere of the party was pitch perfect, while retaining a quiet all American type picnic feel, the quality of both the food I had prepared and grilled, plus the array of flavors the appetizers added made it seem really special and definitely a treat and celebratory. It felt like someone really cared and tried to make it memorable and my guests were over the moon for this food. I would absolutely recommend dining there, we have a few times and it’s a family feeling you just can’t force or create without it being real. Thank you for your heart and talent to this wonderfully talented mother and daughter team!”

“I used to live in Roger’s Park 5 years ago and when I tell you I think about this place weekly, I mean it. As the name implies, incredible breads and sauces. The Ukranian Tartine was my absolute favorite. This place is such a gem that I feel like doesn’t get enough recognition.”

“We were looking for a new restaurant to try. A neighbor of ours highly recommended this place and raved about the steaks and mussels. We had 6 pm reservations and were seated promptly. It was crowded and loud with background music. We asked for the volume to be turned down which they did. The wine and craft cocktail list is broad and extensive. I wanted to try their mule with Icelandic Vodka but the Tom our waiter strongly recommended a new addition of wine which was a malbec. It was a wonderful recommendation. Tom recommended a chardonnay for my wife and a cabernet sauvignon for our friends; everyone enjoyed their wine. Tom was spot on with his recommendations. The service was attentive, friendly and helpful. Tom stopped by several times during our meal, checking in, did we need anything, how was our meal, another drink etc... My friend had the mussels, and his wife ordered a salad and crab cakes; which they couldn’t finish. They brought home leftovers and they thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. My wife had a filet while I had the New York strip; both of our dishes were delicious and yummy. We had leftovers as well. The portions here are huge. Bring an appetite. I had the baked horseradish crust; it had no taste and it was burnt. The kitchen was busy and it was difficult to get our table of food out together with a crust. Despite this the meal was worth it. We did not feeled rushed and we were able to freely talk. Tom offered drinks and desserts after dinner, but we were full, but their coffee and espresso were spot on. We found our new restaurant; it is a must-see and a must-try. We will return.”
