“Amerikas in Oak Park was fantastic. I had the quesabirria plate and a mojito, and both were excellent. The quesabirria was rich, flavorful, and satisfying, with tender meat and a great balance of seasoning. The plate felt generous and well put together, and every bite had that deep, comforting flavor you hope for.

The mojito was a perfect pairing. It was refreshing, bright, and made the meal feel even more special. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the whole experience felt like a great Oak Park lunch spot.

Definitely a place I would come back to and recommend.“

The menu changes bi-monthly and the staff is aware of the levels of gluten avoidance possible.

I enjoyed a mushroom rice and redfish at the suggestion of my server. The layers of flavor were excellent and made a great pairing with the orange wine!

“Had a great time at dinner! My group did the Leap of Faith with a few requests, and we left very satisfied. The food was incredible, but I was motivated to write a review because of the service. The whole team that looked after us -- especially our server Dane L. -- did a fantastic job. We were impressed by how super attentive everybody was and we felt completely taken care of throughout the entire meal. Looking forward to visiting again. Get the noodles!“

“We’re huge fans of The Bear, which steered us here on our Chicago trip - so glad we found this place! We loved the mushroom adobo and longnanisa breakfast sandwich! The mango tarts were amazing, as were our lattes. We left with an apple hand pie to eat the following morning, which was still had perfectly crispy pastry. Definitely worth the hour wait to get in.“

“Have you ever gone into a restaurant with a group of people and just asked the server to take care of you? We did, and Noah did not disappoint! The hospitality was warm and welcoming, the drinks were perfect, we definitely recommend the spicy marg or the PS I kinda like you. For food we can’t recommend the burger enough we also loved the duck fried rice and definitely get the tiger fries!! 10/10 we’ll be back!“

“We finally got to check this place out. Located next to Mon Ami Gabi, you enter through the magnificent lobby. Inside is decorated sparsely but with warmth. We sat near the window for brunch and it was not at all busy at Saturday 10am. It’s probably not the first pick for brunch since their menu is not heavily focused on egg dishes (but they featured baked goods trays which I promised myself to try when I bring a larger family here). They relocated to this new space last fall but I had not really noticed from outside in my walks. The menu is very Asian-fusion and food was high quality and creative. I preferred theirs to North Pond actually. Theirs have more flavor overall. We ordered Maine Lobster Dumplings, Warm Mushroom Salad (this was a hit. I’m going to try to recreate the roasted mushroom at home) and truffle croquettes, pork noodle served in Korean earthen pot and salmon tartine. The first two dishes are really memorable flavors. They were generous with Mimosa and J enjoyed Mezcal shots each with pickle brine and watermelon. Think dirty martini but with more zing! which I appreciated. We want to come back for their happy hour and try other dishes. So glad to find this gem today. Service was prompt and with smiles.“

Bar tender was excellent, but she had too many people to serve by herself, the people Sitting at the bar and all the bar tables. They should have 2 people behind bar to wait on tables and bar. A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“
