Parson's Chicken & Fish (Logan Square) is a popular Chicago spot where both the fried chicken and fish are excellent. The chicken has a perfect blend of not too much breading with a great crunch, and a ridiculously crunchy batter that locks in the juiciness. The chicken sandwich is a top 10 in the city, using a chicken thigh. The fish is done quite well, not too greasy. Popular menu items include hush puppies, Mac and cheese, fish fry, and chicken legs. The Red Beans and Rice is a good vessel for hot sauces. Drinks are great, especially the frozen negroni. The outdoor seating area is an amazing place to spend an afternoon. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and the space is always clean with so much seating. Note: the soup is not recommended.
