“Being from the suburbs traveling downtown can be an experience. This particular experience made our day. Moving our daughter into DePaul we came upon the owner of Red Light chicken who gave us a few pointers in parking near his establishment, after taking the time to help us find a spot he happily welcomed us with a free chicken sandwich which I’m happy to report was delicious. It was nice meeting you tonight and I’ll be certainly stopping by again - Fries are a game changer to!!!“

“I've been wanting pancakes for the past month and finally went for some this morning. The pancakes were PHENOMENAL! My pancake jonesing was fulfilled by a more delicious pancake than I imagined was possible. They were huge and I could only eat one 🤤 The other reheated perfectly in the microwave - the texture was interior, but the taste was still fantastic. I've been before, but got other things. At this point, I can confidently recommend the breakfast sandwich, beignets, and pancakes. Oh, and get yourself an orange pop for breakfast... Be bad, treat yourself!“

“Ordered the catfish, shrimp and chicken wings. Also the nachos. All super delicious. The only downside was that the dining area was too hot to eat comfortably. I am visiting out of town and ate at the location. Otherwise, the dining area was clean.“

“So came across this place on my walk and love boba tea so I stopped in. I got the chicken sandwich and fries for a great deal ($8) and I must say I’m very impressed. The sandwich taste fresh, I got less spicy spice level and the chicken is nice and juicy. The sandwich has some really good flavor. Not hard at all which I love cause I hate getting sandwiches with hard chicken. I paired with a spicy mayo.

Just earned a new customer. Love the indoor seating as well and they got free wifi!

“Came here for some late night munchies with my friends, I have nothing but genuinely great things to say about this location. I enjoy Daves as a whole chain; however, this particular location takes the cake. Absolutely phenomenal accomodation by the staff, even when it's booming with people and busy. Despite all the orders the staff were slammed with, they still were able to give special, attentive care and respect to every customer. I even learned some of the employees names, and they really stuck with me. Elijah, the cashier, despite the business, accomodated to my needs with absolute care. The general manager (forgive my spelling if misspelled), Fritz, really made an impact on me. His fun and bubbly personality, willing to reach out and ask how his customers were doing, showed me how: even when this specific Daves location's team and workers are slammed with orders and busy, they still do an exceptional job with hospitality and care for customers, and that's not easy and I admire that. Another staff, Ciara, stood out to me due to her fun personality. It speaks volumes to me that I got to meet and remember the names of these workers! 🩷 This location truly made my night I love you Daves! 🐥🐔❤“

“I ordered the spicy garlic chicken tenders and oh man were they delicious. The portion is large, definitely enough for 2. The tenders themselves are on the smaller side which makes for a perfect ratio of chicken to crisp to flavor. I also ordered curly fries which came out super hot and crispy. Those were delicious but the price was a little high.

The place is cute and comfortable, very clean. The service was great. The woman working the register and tables was super sweet.“

“We’ve been here a few times and every time the food is awesome. Super easy and healthy dinner option when don’t want to cook. We love the whole jefe chicken and order with broccoli, Mac and cheese, and fries (the seasoning for the fries is awesome). Service is great and the music they play is always top tier. Love this spot“

“We used to go to their old location all the time when we lived in the city, so we were excited to check out the new location now that we have kids—and it did not disappoint!

The fried chicken and biscuits were delicious, and the portions were huge. The kids’ play area with books, trucks, Connect 4 and more was an awesome surprise, plus the kids got fun crazy straws! It’s genuinely kid-friendly without sacrificing great food.

And the $2 beers with a meal were an unexpectedly awesome deal. Great food, great prices, and a perfect family spot. We’ll definitely be back! 🍗🍺“

“This chicken is so good. I also love the house made salsa style sauce. Favorite sides are the mashed potatoes and coleslaw. This is a creamy style coleslaw with a lot of onion flavor. Very good with black pepper on top. We will be back for sure.“

“We tried the Halal Chicken Burger at Byrd's Hot Chicken. The burger tasted good, but it wasn't particularly memorable or mouthwatering.

The burger came with fries, and they were the highlight of the meal. They were crispy, flavorful, and tasted really good. We would definitely order the fries again on our next visit.

“Just stopped in today for the first time. The staff was very friendly and even gave my little one a free juice and goodie bag.

The food was fantastic and the lemonade is homemade and delicious. Reminded me of the one my mom made when I was a kid. Definitely worth eating at. I'll definitely be back again.“

Also tried the Masala Fries, which were crispy and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, and the place had a cozy vibe. If you're in the area and craving a flavorful halal meal, this spot is worth checking out. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu.“
