“I went for the first time and it blew me away. It was quiet at this time and we were the first orders of the day, but the food came fairly quickly. I ordered the Byrd bomb and it was a very generous portion as I had hoped. The sauce is amazing, and the chicken is flavorful and cooked to perfection. And as he's getting the change and 5 seconds later, he gets the meal. Well, as you know, that has but if you ever go to some of these locations, I'm not talking about every location. But I've experienced this at the let's see it is the Sheridan road. Location north of laola university and oh my God, I ordered the food. Got the change went to the end of the counter with my cup and the food was there before I made it to grab the cup before I made it to the end of the counter 10 steps away to grab my cup. The food was ready before I grabbed my cup to get my they make get your own drinks but yes, that's the only thing it literally got ready. “looks as tho everything is done in house. the fries are fresh cut potatoes. the patties are hand made. the chicken is I think the best fried chicken I've ever had. texture of the frying and pinch of lemon pepper balances extremely well. prices are dirt cheap. if this exact item was at a downtown gastro pub it be selling for $12.99 which people would gladly pay and it be famous like Au Cheval with a line and not the $2.99 I paid. a lot of care of actual not taking shortcuts goes into the food preparation. I even saw the guy put on a brand new pair of vinyl gloves to prepare and cook the food. they are moving locations next week glad I came across them while here on business. I'm super critical and knitpicky and rarely think a good item is something pretty amazing even their house hotsauce very vinegary and balanced. Former chef. I even criticize my own failed attempts at perfection that others think are amazing. He could probably beat Bobby Flay but that doesn't seem to be an exclusive accomplishment anymore Lol.. go try this places chicken. not expensive nothing to lose well worth it.“

“Its great place for chicken sandwiches and fries. I had the spicy delux chicken with Mac and Cheese and fries. The Mac and cheese was a bit cold and tasted like KFC Mac and cheese. The fries were crispy and hot, A+. The sandwich had a nice crispness to it, and had nice flavor, it's not spicy for me at all, but still could for some who can't have spicy. The sandwich wasn't soggy either, like other chicken sandwiches, where the breading feels cold or soggy. This one felt fresh and crisp. Will go back soon to try their other options like the fried chicken, and maybe even their spaghetti to try out.“

“I had mixed feelings about my visit to Port of Peri Peri. The food was honestly excellent and full of flavor, so I have no complaints about the quality of the meal itself.

However, the customer service really let the experience down. The staff didn't seem friendly or welcoming, and when I asked questions, they either didn't respond properly or didn't seem interested in helping. The dining area also looked like it needed more attention—several tables were greasy and didn't appear to be cleaned promptly, which made eating in feel a bit unhygienic.

If you're planning to try this place, I'd recommend ordering takeout instead of dining in. The food is definitely worth trying, but I think the overall dine-in experience and cleanliness could use significant improvement.This keeps the review balanced by praising the food while clearly describing the issues you experienced.“

She greeted us, took our order with a smile, and chatted with our children about our recent plane ride after bringing us our food. And on top of that, the food was ON POINT - like seriously so good.
