Best service and meal I've enjoyed recently (in a neighborhood place I'm not a regular). The Host greeted me pleasantly and offered me a seat at the bar - other options given. The bartenders assisted me with ordering the best choices for me: kale salad, tartar (next time ask for easier oil, steak awesome), tortellini with mushrooms and truffle, and raspberry sorbet for dessert. We really enjoyed everything we ordered: oysters, wagyu tartare, tortellini, mussels, and chocolate crunch. Everything was expertly prepared. I love oysters, order them whenever I can, and their preparation and accoutrements stood out.I was pleased to see a Sancerre Blanc by the glass on the menu, a proper white, especially with oysters.The restaurant has the vibe of a speak-easy hideout, perhaps from the period of prohibition. I went there with 2 friends for a quick drink. I had a delicious cocktail with Mezcal (can't remember the name) and we ended up ordering the Chocolate Crunch dessert which was out of this world! I would go back just for that, but now I really want to try their other food as well. The menu looks amazing. The atmosphere was cozy yet upscale. I highly recommend this place!
