“The guy running this place is just great. He was super accommodating. Even went so far as to tell me that the freeze flavor I selected wasn't the best. Said he would let me try it, but if I didn't like it he'd make me something else (Thai Tea Freeze... Funky... Just like he said). He was true to his word and made me a lavender freeze for no extra cost that was totally delicious. I'll definitely come back. 100 stars for quality of customer service.“

“So came across this place on my walk and love boba tea so I stopped in. I got the chicken sandwich and fries for a great deal ($8) and I must say I’m very impressed. The sandwich taste fresh, I got less spicy spice level and the chicken is nice and juicy. The sandwich has some really good flavor. Not hard at all which I love cause I hate getting sandwiches with hard chicken. I paired with a spicy mayo.

“People are missing out on this spot coz it's a bit further in than the other bubble tea spot. But they have real good drinks ang bingsu. Their bingsu is not just shaved ice, it's layers of flavors. We got the mango bingsu and we had the mango shaved ice, chunks of mango, some jelly, and even some mango puree at the bottom. For the drinks, would recommend the Taro Coconut Matcha. Their coconut pudding topping is also real good. The Tiramisu Milk Tea is not too sweet.“

“Rejoice! The place for some great Chinese teas had arrived near you! Yes, it does share the fad with the Taiwan born boba drinks. But our eye was caught by the nice website with images of nice teacups and ambiance. Only 23 miles away from home we discovered that the trip in a hot and still pandemic day was totally worth it. In few words owner, Shaolong picked the teaist vibes in us and offered us a great real experience of sharing a favorite tea - he introduced us to the wonders of Zhang Ping Shui Xian (漳平水仙). Unlike the real "black tea", the Pu-erh, this one also comes in bricks, yet is a type of oolong with an amazing floral scent. We were honored with 4 different samples which we are currently slowly and thoroughly testing (3 pics). And yes, the fermentation levels are different - some definitely will give you a great oolong taste, but others are just a unique elixir on its own. But back to the house itself. I see and hope for great unrolling potential. This could become a place for tea lovers and teaists in training. Why not theme days, classes, shared experiences, a club? We would join. The 23 miles are a drive, but there isn't much of a real tea-drinking place in our Chicagoland (unlike smaller cities in North America like Portland and Montreal). However, Living Water Tea House is a great promise and it totally won our full support! Keep the cups warm!“

“I love this specific location of Uni Uni because the staff are sweet and helpful. Today I walked in and the store was pretty empty except for an employee and a man who I think was a supervisor or manager. He was loudly berating his employee because she said he shouldn’t allow people to come in after closing and continue to order when they need to close the store and be out on time. He insisted that respect goes both ways and cited employees reading or being on their phones while it was slow. It was pretty disappointing to hear someone of authority equate these two actions when one forces employees to do extra labor and one is relatively harmless. The drinks I ordered came out quickly and the girl behind the counter was the sweetest. I hope their managers treat them better.“

Working with customer service has really taught me customers are never fully satisfied especially if they’re picky and just plain miserable. If you don’t like something why go and spread hate. “been here a few times, each is better experience that the last, attempt to try most of their items on menu. So far, my favorite is their Mango smoothies with cloud cheese, as drink. Their cloud cheese is really good and a balance of salty taste with the sweetness of the mango, the tapioca in the drinks is plentiful but not overpowering the water content. I had it in other Chinatown restaurants, some had too many tapiocas that my teeth were tired chewing them. Cuckoo is not. Their Don (Japanese rice bowls) and their bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) are excellent. Have not decide which is better because each have their own uniqueness and tastes; I had 2 types of their bibimbap before and only 1 type of their Don. So far, I am leaning towards the Don but there is excellent amount of veggie in their Bibimbap, which is ideal for weigh concise person. Wish they have a loyal customer rewards style of drinks incentives, much like some restaurants, for example, buy 9 and get 1 free drink, or some % off after 5 drink purchases, and give customers an advertisable nice pocket size reward card to keep track of their purchases. That may also work with food item purchases as well. Crossing my fingers that this may happen soon. With summer in Chicago, cool refreshing drinks is ideal and as loyal customers, return for more drink purchases with rewards will be even better.“

“We ended up here twice on a recent visit to Chicago. Located in Wicker Park, Uni Uni is conveniently located between a variety stores. On our second trip, they offered to let us sample some of the toppings as we noted that my daughter wasn't a fan of the crystal boba that she got on her last visit. She ended up substituting the crystal boba for the strawberry popping boba. The drinks were delicious, the staff was helpful and the restaurant was adorable.“

I am using a temporary mobility aid, and there’s a couple inch step before the first door, plus no button to automatically open the doors. The path to the bathroom today was also very narrow due to lots of boxes, and I couldn’t get my wheelchair in (at least today). Seems like fixable things; add a small cement ramp by the door, clear the hallway, add a door button. :) I really do love this place overall and have even gotten a cute plushie keychain here too!“

“This is my favorite place to order a birthday cake. You can customize outer cake layout with extra charge. I had their mango passion flavor mille layer cake for my dad's birthday. My dad loves it very much as the cake is not that sweet and beautifully layered at the inner of the cake. It tastes a mixture of mango passion flavor with a pitch of salty. The mille layer cake is a bit expensive but worth a try. Last two months, I ordered taro mochi chiffon cake for my mom's birthday. It is also not sweet and has a chewy mochi layer with taro paste and cream. I like the combination of the mochi with the chiffon cake together.“
