“So came across this place on my walk and love boba tea so I stopped in. I got the chicken sandwich and fries for a great deal ($8) and I must say I’m very impressed. The sandwich taste fresh, I got less spicy spice level and the chicken is nice and juicy. The sandwich has some really good flavor. Not hard at all which I love cause I hate getting sandwiches with hard chicken. I paired with a spicy mayo.

“So happy I stumbled upon this place! I ended up coming here two separate times during a weekend trip because I liked it so much. The first time I got the classic banh mi and an oolong milk tea. The banh mi had the perfect ratio of toppings and I had no complaints with it. The milk tea was a little sweet for my taste, so next time I think I would ask for less sugar. The second time I came I tried the vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken skewers. The fish sauce is garlicky and spicy and everything tasted fresh. They also have sugarcane juice which was delicious. The service here is excellent and the staff is so friendly! Highly recommend this place and would definitely come back to try more of their menu.“

“I come to this market pretty often and have noticed this milk tea shop many times, but I never tried it because it usually looked quiet and it’s tucked away in a corner, so it can be easy to miss.

Today, as usual, I stopped by and saw another customer inside, so I decided to give it a try even though I had already bought milk tea from the shop next door. And I’m so glad I did — I really liked it!

I personally prefer milk tea where the tea and milk flavors are well balanced, light, and natural, without being overly creamy or heavy from creamer powder. This was exactly my kind of milk tea: smooth, refreshing, and not too rich.

I definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a lighter, more natural tea-and-milk flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more drinks!“

“Rejoice! The place for some great Chinese teas had arrived near you! Yes, it does share the fad with the Taiwan born boba drinks. But our eye was caught by the nice website with images of nice teacups and ambiance. Only 23 miles away from home we discovered that the trip in a hot and still pandemic day was totally worth it. In few words owner, Shaolong picked the teaist vibes in us and offered us a great real experience of sharing a favorite tea - he introduced us to the wonders of Zhang Ping Shui Xian (漳平水仙). Unlike the real "black tea", the Pu-erh, this one also comes in bricks, yet is a type of oolong with an amazing floral scent. We were honored with 4 different samples which we are currently slowly and thoroughly testing (3 pics). And yes, the fermentation levels are different - some definitely will give you a great oolong taste, but others are just a unique elixir on its own. But back to the house itself. I see and hope for great unrolling potential. This could become a place for tea lovers and teaists in training. Why not theme days, classes, shared experiences, a club? We would join. The 23 miles are a drive, but there isn't much of a real tea-drinking place in our Chicagoland (unlike smaller cities in North America like Portland and Montreal). However, Living Water Tea House is a great promise and it totally won our full support! Keep the cups warm!“

“I love this specific location of Uni Uni because the staff are sweet and helpful. Today I walked in and the store was pretty empty except for an employee and a man who I think was a supervisor or manager. He was loudly berating his employee because she said he shouldn’t allow people to come in after closing and continue to order when they need to close the store and be out on time. He insisted that respect goes both ways and cited employees reading or being on their phones while it was slow. It was pretty disappointing to hear someone of authority equate these two actions when one forces employees to do extra labor and one is relatively harmless. The drinks I ordered came out quickly and the girl behind the counter was the sweetest. I hope their managers treat them better.“

“I really enjoyed my visit to Molly Tea! The tea was incredibly fragrant and refreshing, and you can actually taste the quality of the tea rather than just sweetness. I especially loved the floral aroma—it was delicate, unique, and not overpowering. The shop itself is cute, clean, and has a lovely atmosphere. “been here a few times, each is better experience that the last, attempt to try most of their items on menu. So far, my favorite is their Mango smoothies with cloud cheese, as drink. Their cloud cheese is really good and a balance of salty taste with the sweetness of the mango, the tapioca in the drinks is plentiful but not overpowering the water content. I had it in other Chinatown restaurants, some had too many tapiocas that my teeth were tired chewing them. Cuckoo is not. Their Don (Japanese rice bowls) and their bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) are excellent. Have not decide which is better because each have their own uniqueness and tastes; I had 2 types of their bibimbap before and only 1 type of their Don. So far, I am leaning towards the Don but there is excellent amount of veggie in their Bibimbap, which is ideal for weigh concise person. Wish they have a loyal customer rewards style of drinks incentives, much like some restaurants, for example, buy 9 and get 1 free drink, or some % off after 5 drink purchases, and give customers an advertisable nice pocket size reward card to keep track of their purchases. That may also work with food item purchases as well. Crossing my fingers that this may happen soon. With summer in Chicago, cool refreshing drinks is ideal and as loyal customers, return for more drink purchases with rewards will be even better.“

“This is one of the best Boba shops in Roger's Park. When I'm in the area, I enjoy taking a walk over to get a drink here. TBaar has an extensive menu of drinks and food. I enjoy having lots of options and the ability to try something new each time I visit. The shop is beautiful and always clean. The employees are friendly and hard working. On this visit, I ordered the Brown Sugar Bubble Coffee. It was really good. I have ordered milk teas, green teas and lemonade from here, all which have been delicious. This place is definitely a must stop if you want a great drink while in Roger's Park!!“

“The price is very reasonable for boba. It was a little over 6 dollars for a larger milk teak from here (after any taxes or fees). To me that is a very average boba price and is definitely a little cheaper than I expected from a vending machine! I quite like these because the teas are not too sweet and I can have it anytime. They are way higher quality than I'd expect from a vending machine. The boba is a good texture and everything tastes very fresh👍“

“The tea is great, but here's a few things to know :)

- You need a phone number to order,
- Doesn't accept cash, so you have to pay with card,
- Even if you have a coupon, you need an account to use it.
- The fruity teas are good, boba too, normal tea is good as well, but I don't recommend the milk foam that you can choose as a topping. Last time I picked it, it tasted sour/salty, which either means it was spoiled milk or somehow the foam was in contact with salt (?) honestly couldn't finish my tea cuz of the taste 😭

“We ended up here twice on a recent visit to Chicago. Located in Wicker Park, Uni Uni is conveniently located between a variety stores. On our second trip, they offered to let us sample some of the toppings as we noted that my daughter wasn't a fan of the crystal boba that she got on her last visit. She ended up substituting the crystal boba for the strawberry popping boba. The drinks were delicious, the staff was helpful and the restaurant was adorable.“

The path to the bathroom today was also very narrow due to lots of boxes, and I couldn’t get my wheelchair in (at least today). “I still think about this place when I see coconut matcha anywhere. Stringria has the best coconut matcha latte and my other favorite is the watermelon jasmine tea with coconut milk.
