May this comment be gentle reminder, that if you anxious and not familiar with the menu - get on your phone and check it thoroughly without worrying of holding the line. They have big menu and on the website (not sure of that was on a tablet) they show calories and other stuff as well. Also on tablet I didn’t have an option of getting certain drinks on a toy cup, while online I had.

“great spot for quick snack of crispy fried chicken & great sized boba. The chicken has a bit more batter but well seasoned & crunchy. They do order at the counter & touch screen orders. The process was seamless & we enjoyed the meal!“

“This place is special to me because it’s one of the few places in Chicago, from my experience, that has sugarcane juice. I think they add some lemon to it. I’m a big fan, it’s balanced and refreshing this way. Their lemongrass chicken bahn mi is so delicious too. The cherry on top is the great service I get every time I come here. They serve the food to your table and the lady at the cash register is always nice.“

“This is the second time my brothers and I have come. The first time we were only able to get drinks because the corn dogs were sold out. It was sad but regardless we had amazing drinks. This time we were able to try the classic corn dogs. They were amazing, the hot mayo went great with the cheese. The drinks we had were also amazing!!! Everything complimented each other, the sweetness of the drink and the spiciness of the food!!!“

“People are missing out on this spot coz it's a bit further in than the other bubble tea spot. But they have real good drinks ang bingsu. Their bingsu is not just shaved ice, it's layers of flavors. We got the mango bingsu and we had the mango shaved ice, chunks of mango, some jelly, and even some mango puree at the bottom. For the drinks, would recommend the Taro Coconut Matcha. Their coconut pudding topping is also real good. The Tiramisu Milk Tea is not too sweet.“

“I’m new to Chicago and work nearby. Been searching around for a good boba spot around the area and found this spot earlier today for lunch. Love that ube is becoming a thing and they had a good selection of drinks and dessert made with it. It paired well with my LUMPIA lol. Anyways, i don’t normally leave reviews, but this place deserved it for sure. The female that was working on the counter this afternoon was all by herself and I don’t know how she did it, but kudos to her. She made me a good drink. “I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea as it was one of the must-try options. I got it with 70% sugar and less ice, which was the perfect balance. The jasmine flavor was beautifully floral and fragrant, giving the drink a light, refreshing taste while still being smooth and creamy from the milk tea. The sweetness didn’t overpower the tea, so you could really enjoy the delicate jasmine notes.

“Great bubble tea spot! We always come here when we're in the Wicker Park area. The lady working is very nice and she can even make a custom bubble tea if there's something you want that's not on the menu (like a lychee peach smoothie, mm!) What a boss. There's seating and washrooms. They're also friendly, fast, and the bubble tea is delicious.“

“I was downtown craving boba at like 7pm, when a lot of boba shops were closed, and this vending machine came up on google, so I decided to try it! I got the roast oolong milk tea with agar and it was sweet and creamy and tasted the same as what I I would expect fresh from a boba shop. My only complaint is that I wish the different bubble teas were clearly labeled right in the vending machine. Instead, you have to go through and click on each one on the touch screen to find out what they are.“

“Great place overall with a wide variety of drink options and a very nice atmosphere for catching up with friends, casual dates, studying, etc. There is also free parking which I always appreciate!

Their drinks can be a tad more expensive than comparable places depending on what you get (due to how the pricing works for toppings), but not ridiculously so. For example, a drink that comes with toppings will usually be cheaper than a drink that doesn’t come with toppings that you add a topping to. I wish the pricing there was a bit more internally-consistent, but generally I think you get good value.

My only quality complaint is that the mochi topping in drinks has a snot-like consistency that I’m not a fan of. Mochi is my favorite topping at other places, so I’m a bit disappointed by this one. Everything else has been amazing though.“

“Rejoice! The place for some great Chinese teas had arrived near you! Yes, it does share the fad with the Taiwan born boba drinks. But our eye was caught by the nice website with images of nice teacups and ambiance. Only 23 miles away from home we discovered that the trip in a hot and still pandemic day was totally worth it. In few words owner, Shaolong picked the teaist vibes in us and offered us a great real experience of sharing a favorite tea - he introduced us to the wonders of Zhang Ping Shui Xian (漳平水仙). Unlike the real "black tea", the Pu-erh, this one also comes in bricks, yet is a type of oolong with an amazing floral scent. We were honored with 4 different samples which we are currently slowly and thoroughly testing (3 pics). And yes, the fermentation levels are different - some definitely will give you a great oolong taste, but others are just a unique elixir on its own. But back to the house itself. I see and hope for great unrolling potential. This could become a place for tea lovers and teaists in training. Why not theme days, classes, shared experiences, a club? We would join. The 23 miles are a drive, but there isn't much of a real tea-drinking place in our Chicagoland (unlike smaller cities in North America like Portland and Montreal). However, Living Water Tea House is a great promise and it totally won our full support! Keep the cups warm!“

“My go-to boba spot in Chicago. They have relatively low prices and quick service. My favorite drinks to get are their mango green tea with boba and lychee jelly or jasmine milk tea with boba. They genuinely have some of the best boba I’ve ever tasted.“

“Delicious boba tea! I had the Coconut milk tea with boba and my husband had the mango fruit with boba. This was our first time here! It was busy when we walked in with lines for those wanting to get there bubble / boba tea. There was a great menu of options to choose from and a nice sitting area to relax, and enjoy the drinks. Staff were quick and busy filling in the orders that were coming in. This is located in Chinatown near the Chinatown square. Great spot and delicious boba teas! We will definitely come back when we visit this area again!“

“The tea is great, but here's a few things to know :)

- You need a phone number to order,
- Doesn't accept cash, so you have to pay with card,
- Even if you have a coupon, you need an account to use it.
- The fruity teas are good, boba too, normal tea is good as well, but I don't recommend the milk foam that you can choose as a topping. Last time I picked it, it tasted sour/salty, which either means it was spoiled milk or somehow the foam was in contact with salt (?) honestly couldn't finish my tea cuz of the taste 😭

“Drinks and efficiency are 5/5. Best fruit tea in the area. It’s super cute with the couch and flowering tree, there’s some games, and good music. Accessibility is poor tho. I am using a temporary mobility aid, and there’s a couple inch step before the first door, plus no button to automatically open the doors. The path to the bathroom today was also very narrow due to lots of boxes, and I couldn’t get my wheelchair in (at least today). Seems like fixable things; add a small cement ramp by the door, clear the hallway, add a door button. :) I really do love this place overall and have even gotten a cute plushie keychain here too!“

“Had the hot oolong tea on a cold winter day and it was very good!! Tasty hot drinks are hard to come by. Would highly recommend! I was also given a free snack for a very long wait (maybe I was a taste tester for a new item?). Very good hospitality and service. Definitely coming back.“

“been here a few times, each is better experience that the last, attempt to try most of their items on menu. So far, my favorite is their Mango smoothies with cloud cheese, as drink. Their cloud cheese is really good and a balance of salty taste with the sweetness of the mango, the tapioca in the drinks is plentiful but not overpowering the water content. I had it in other Chinatown restaurants, some had too many tapiocas that my teeth were tired chewing them. Cuckoo is not. Their Don (Japanese rice bowls) and their bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) are excellent. Have not decide which is better because each have their own uniqueness and tastes; I had 2 types of their bibimbap before and only 1 type of their Don. So far, I am leaning towards the Don but there is excellent amount of veggie in their Bibimbap, which is ideal for weigh concise person. Wish they have a loyal customer rewards style of drinks incentives, much like some restaurants, for example, buy 9 and get 1 free drink, or some % off after 5 drink purchases, and give customers an advertisable nice pocket size reward card to keep track of their purchases. That may also work with food item purchases as well. Crossing my fingers that this may happen soon. With summer in Chicago, cool refreshing drinks is ideal and as loyal customers, return for more drink purchases with rewards will be even better.“

“Tried tiger sugar for the first time and it was pretty good. We had Boba and gelato and the mango ice cream. Its a small location so it gets tight with the tables and people coming in and out. It is pricey and I have tasted better Boba for less but overall it was good.“
