WOW..., Best live sushi course we have ever tasted, even better than Los Angeles. Every dish had a multi-dimensional taste we can't even get in LA.This restaurant is definetly run by a trained chef and not just an ordinary cook. Will come back again. Compliments to the chef!

Minami Sushi is a favorite sushi place with food that is absolutely delicious. The fish is fresh, and the sushi flavors are good. The spicy garlic shrimp with green beans was amazing. The sashimi is extra thick, and the pork tonkatsu is the best aside from Japan. The pork gyoza is good, and there is a great selection of vegan rolls. The atmosphere is cozy and beautiful, dark and modern, and very romantic. The place is fairly new and modern, with upscale decor. Food is ready quickly, and the staff is kind. Prices are a bit pricey but 100% worth it, with great value on the boat and great lunch specials. Customers say it is the best sushi in all Chicago, with generous portions and consistent quality. Everything is always top-notch, and the service is fantastic.
