“Industrial vibe with a hoppy smell. There's plenty of seatings and even outdoor seating. Our server was nice and friendly. There's a lot of options for different style beers. They also do different theme nights (bingo and trivia) and food trucks. Fun place for gatherings with pretty good beers.“

We had questions about rum selections and the specials and she was on top of it. “We had our wedding reception in the Barrel Room at the Downers Grove location in September. Lisa was amazing to work with from start to finish! She was responsive to my hundreds of emails (almost not kidding) and always available when I would reach out to look at the space. She helped me work out my vision for the space, was present during our rehearsal to make sure the initial setup was what I wanted and then was around the entire day of our wedding to make sure things went smoothly.We loved Alter before our wedding, but she and the staff are definitely a reason we will keep coming back and recommending events being held there! Also, not to leave out how awesome the beer is.“
“I have visited this place twice in less than a month and I love their beers. I like breweries that serve food and the kitchen has simple but quality plates that are great pairing with all the beers. It is kind of order and pay for the food and beers, but you can open a tab and the guys pouring the beers are super friendly and knowledgeable about the different beer styles which translates to a good service experience. The ambiance is industrial and pretty much like a brewery with barrels all over and music in the background. I can foresee this place growing in popularity and food service as well. Their beers are already amazing!!“

Go Brewing “Not just another Story” double IPA Non-alcoholic brew really hits the spot. Hoppy flavor and the malty sweetness that I love, this craft brew has a unique finish and is a wonderful alternative to your typical full alcohol content double IPA’s.
