“Surprisingly for a hidden taco joint in a gas station, it’s great. I’ve had the tacos, burritos, and torta. The el pastor burrito is delicious! Their burrito tortilla is not like those thin stretchy flour tortillas, it’s great for burritos. The steak, lengua, and el pastor tacos are good too! The carnita taco is okay, not the best but it’s good. The torta is one of my go to’s. It can be a bit pricy but I think it’s worth it if you have the money to spend lol.“

“Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. This is my first time coming here and this spot just got added to my small list. I will most definitely stop by this place whenever I'm around this area. Thank you for the great food! “This place has amazing tacos de carnitas !!!! The meat was so tender and juicy. No fat on the tacos I had. It’s a 20 min drive from my house in Gary but man it’s worth the drive. I highly recommend. I had 2 tacos de carnitas 1 asada 1 apastor and 1 large agua de Jamaica. Total was $18“

“This place was so good! My boyfriend, baby, and I came here to dine in yesterday and the food was phenomenal. We were looking for queso barria tacos on google and they showed up. The server was awesome. They didn’t have a kids menu but I asked if they can do rice and eggs for the baby and they did just that he loved his meal as well! The cook even came to talk to us for a bit which I thought was pretty cool…very personalable! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for your service 😁“
“We ended up at this place by chance with 6 of us, ranging from teens to a grandma. All of us loved it. The tacos were really delicious. Grandma felt that the guacamole was too salty so the owner came out and apologized, made her a fresh batch to her liking AND removed it from the bill. Both food and service were top notch. The atmosphere was super fun and lively too.“

“This was my 2nd time at Casa de Tacos y Tequila. I ordered the birria torta with rice and beans. Their birria is made with lamb, and is flavorful and tender. I really enjoyed it. The sides I had, in my opinion, were mediocre. We went during Happy Hour showcasing $5 margaritas and 2 for $4 tacos. Margaritas were great, and my friends enjoyed the tacos! I'd return!“

“I love supporting family owned businesses. Love that this is an option in the area late nights as there’s not many food options nearby. The chicken quesadilla is my favorite and I love how juicy it is!

“I got the taco dinner and the nacho fries. First, the size of the taco dinner is actually really good for the price. I got double rice and no beans because I’m not a fan of refried beans. The nacho fries were HEFTY. I picked up the container and HOLY MOLY! It was A LOT of food! Definitely a great price! Will be ordering again!“

“From the moment I first bit into those steak tacos about 3 months ago I cannot stop going to this place. Juicy, tender, well-seasoned steak on corn tortillas with loads of fresh cilantro and onions! Even the salsa! Amazing! Tacos so good I could cry. No really. I recently switched from a place I’ve been going to since childhood due to a decrease in quality and who would have known a taqueria within Pete’s would make me believe in true taco love again. Give these people a raise!
Sometimes there could be inconsistency with the rice and beans but overall still enjoyable.

“I drive 35 mins to get this food - the hot sauce are real good, this time the waitress was a little slower than usual but she was super busy. It is a nice restaurant not that many tables but it’s got a nice vibe. I recommend to ppl all the time. I highly recommend the Mulitas and Al pastor meat. Top notch“

“Best Jerk Chicken I've had, the food is beyond amazing and delicious and their customer service is excellent. Someone greets you when you come in to order or pick up your food. Everything from the Jerk chicken , Jerk chicken Alfredo and all the side dishes are delicious. “This place tacos are little but they are good. The wait time is disgustingly looooonnggg I went through the drive through and I was waiting 25 minutes just for two tacos. People started to pull off. The lady at the window was nasty. No customers service skills what so ever. She wants me to tap my card after waiting dang near 30 mins in the drive through line without confirming my order to me. These bite size tacos isn’t worth it.“
