“We found this place on our way to Raleigh, NC from Chicago. Stopped here after reading reviews online. TRUST THE REVIEWS that say this place is good...IT IS GOOD! We just moved to the Chicago area from South Texas, so we know good Mexican food and this place does not disappoint! If you are anywhere near Gary Indiana, you have to stop in to Chela's. It's not fancy at all, but is very clean and the prices are good. We had the Birria Tacos, chips and salsa and several different meat tacos. Then, on our way back from North Carolina, we stopped in again! My fiance thinks this is the best Mexican food outside of Texas. THAT'S saying something! We can't wait to go back!“

“My first time there and it definitely won’t be the last! The food and service were impeccable! Quite the variety of food on the menu. Ordered the trio with an extra crab cluster and it was fantastic! The waitress was very attentive throughout the meal. If you haven’t tried this place out yet, you’re missing out!“

“Ok I went to purchase tacos, and I did, they were delicious. Very delicious.
I also bought some Philly cheese steak sandwiches.
I ate them the next day, out of my air fry. OFF THE CHAIN DELICIOUS!
These guys know what they are doing. Try this spot the food is great and the service is excellent.“
