“I recently had the pleasure of working with Caribbean Roots to deliver food for an event of 120 people, and I was impressed by their professionalism, organization, and the quality of their food. We ordered the Dominican chicken quarters and the cilantro lime coleslaw. Everything was packaged perfectly for transport, and the entire order was ready on time. The staff was friendly and efficient, and it was clear they take pride in what they do. The feedback from guests was overwhelmingly positive — everyone loved the food! Delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. I highly recommend Caribbean Roots! Great team, great food!”

“Was looking for a good buffet after the Horshoe's buffet in Hammond closed (never re opened since Covid).

Maaaaan this place is prettttty good! One major downside is there are no restrooms in the buffet area, which makes it awkward if you wanna use it between your meal, since you lose your access once you step outside.

Realistically I think the team is pretty understanding about all that but still, it is an inconvenience.

Otherwise it's all great. About 50 bucks per person if you don't got any special or membership or nothing. So pricy but I'd say worth it.”

“This just happens to be my favorite place to go grab a bite to eat have a delicious cocktail and watch a game or take it to the floor or just share some laughter with my Flossy Posse. The food is great the drinks are great and the Dj's are the best ! I call it a good vibe. It is true that Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. Grown folks fun ,Smoke free and there are 2 sides to the facilty (1 for 21 and older) Come on out Monday & Thursday... see ya There Thank me later”

“We were a group of 9; 6 adults & 3 children looking for a more sit-down place to eat when the owner talked us into staying telling us we would not be disappointed, and we were not. Their menu had a huge variety of food to choose from, and all of us thought the food was great! I had French toast, hash browns & sausage. My husband had an awesome shrimp omlette that had more shrimp on it than anywhere else we have ever eaten that put shrimp in its breakfast. And even thought it was all packagesd as take out, there were three tables available to sit and eat. It worked for us! Great job S&G! It's a well-earned 5 star review!”

“This is the first time that I came to this restaurant I love that the area it was in was very clean. The food was very fulfilling. I thought the sandwich could’ve had a little bit more meat on it, but it made you full. It was more bread than meat. I also had the cheesy fries. “Disappointing..the chili/koney sauce was very salty to the point it was nesrly inedible. ..I think since it was late afternoon, it simmered to the point where it became concentrated due to evaporation and it needed some liquid to even out the extreme salt content... the dogs were good, the chili cheeseburger was almost impossible to eat..so messy. Fries were.probably the highlight of my visit the lady behind the counter was excellent though 👍👍 Great service I probably would try them again though....possibly the saltiness was an anomaly”

“I grew up eating at taquerias in every neighborhood between EC and Chicago so I'm always hesitant trying new places because they often let me down. I have to say that I'M SURPRISED MORE PEOPLE ARENT TALKING ABOUT THIS PLACE! To try them out for the first time I got 2 steak tacos and 1 al pastor. The pastor isn't your traditional pastor shaved off of a spit, but it was good! The steak is what really stood out though! Greasy, a little crispy on the edges, and packed with flavor. Its real steak as well, not the beef that other places use and try to pass off as steak. I have 2 other places I like getting tacos from and I've gotta say that this place has better steak tacos than both of them! The prices are also what you'd hope from a low key taqueria and they have daily specials Monday through Saturday! GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!”

The food was good, but the level of Service was above anything I've ever experienced in a fast food environment. The staff was incredibly friendly and polite, and willing to go above and beyond for their customers. It truly felt like they wanted everyone to have a great experience. It's not what you imagine.. it's better than that! For a unique experience of authentic Mexican flavor, try one ASAP! Also, they serve tamales on every day they operate.”
