First time here. Staff were friendly, patient & engaging. I had 1/2 rib and friends. Delicious, everything fresh, good portion, reasonably priced. I definitely recommend!

This was our first time eating here, we saw it driving by. Ordering went fine but on our receipt was a hospitality fee for dining in. The restaurant itself is not particularly clean, and the bathroom was a mess with a slippery floor, a mess of toilet paper strewn about and no toilet paper on the roll.

Our food came and the mac and cheese is spicy! It does not notate that anywhere on the menu. Chicken was extremely dry and cold. Brisket and pork were good.

Will not be going again if we're in the area. The restaurant was not hospitable despite being charged for such service.

The catering staff and pit crew helped to create an absolutely delicious and fun experience for our wedding reception.
The food was perfect and received so many compliments from our guests. We are so happy and grateful that we chose this restaurant to cater our special day.

We have now had their BBQ Chicken, pulled pork and brisket. I have to say, we were not impressed by the chicken. It was dry and over seasoned. The Brisket is delicious, we've gotten it twice and it was perfectly seasoned, goes very well with the two types of BBQ sauces they offer and is all around good. But the pulled pork is on a level all its own!! It is super moist, well seasoned. The bark is absolutely remarkable. We've ordered it nearly a dozen times now and it's always turned out fantastic!
As for the sides, their slaw is good (not great, but good) and their pork and beans is excellent!
You won't be disappointed with the portions you get either!
EDIT: The last 2 times we went, the staff was less friendly and the quality seems to have slipped. They are still good, but not as good as they used to be. The real disappointment was the disinterested attitude of the staff.
EDIT 2: Okay, they apparently are hostile to food delivery services. I was eating in and a food delivery guy was waiting just to the side of the pick up area so as to not block anyone, but close enough to easily be seen. He was there almost fifteen minutes and I watched a few of the employees look at him. They did not announce the food was ready, finally he goes to ask about his order and it had been ready for ten minutes. They just don't call out delivery orders like they do all other orders. So anyone ordering online, you food may be a lot colder because the staff apparently really don't care about the delivery orders.

This was the best brisket sandwich I have ever had! It was cut thick and stacked high and the brisket was lean and tender! Ive been here before but this was by far the BEST !

The service was phenomenal, tables a bit dirty/sticky and meat a little too dry but still good and the sweet BBQ made up for the dryness. Kids corn dogs were eaten right up by the kids so they musta been good too. But it was very expensive 😕

We had a pig roast done by Firewater (Crest Hill) over Labor Day Weekend. This was a solid choice! The food was incredible , Karen the manager was a pleasure to work with, and everything was handled. We can't say enough good things about Jay and Jada who came out to serve up the pig , they were enthusiastic and socialized with everyone. If you have any questions on whether or not you should do this.....Do it!!!! The amount of food was unreal. All the Best to the Firewater Team , we look forward to doing this again!

There is automatic 3% service fee (not charge card fee) added to bill that could not be explained by the cashier. I asked mgr to explain to cashier & me ... I was told it was the POS(point of sale) cash register company fee.
Though there was NOT an additional credit card charge!

Always feel welcome! This is our 4th time traveling up to get some outstanding bbq. I love the pulled pork cheese fry platter and my husband loves the ribs and burnt ends. The pickles are excellent combo with the pulled pork cheese fry.

Seemed good (dietary restrictions kept me to a $17 salad, so a little on the pricey-side).
Corn bread didn't hold-up
Chicken had a good flavor

Inside it's picnic benches and counter service

Always drive by the place so figured we'd stop for lunch. Lady at the front counter was friendly and recommended a few items. Chicken was a bit dry and even the added sauces didn't seem to help. Spicy/hot was not hot enough. Beef was good, not great. Sweet sauce had a nice flavor. Cole slaw was not very flavorful, kind of bleh. Chairs and tables were a bit dirty and wobbly.

The place smelled like a BBQ. Yummy, smoky.
A fair amount of options to choose from.

Everything was delicious.

The brisket was dry as wood. The girls behind the counter were on their phones the whole time and screwed up a simple order. Doesn't hold a candle to other BBQ places.
