we moved from the area years ago , came back for the holiday weekend . The poor boy steak sandwich does not disappoint! The perfect amount of buttery garlic goodness. The onion rings are also a must get, a small will feed a party of 4. The atmosphere is comfortable - easy to hold conversations. The price is average and affordable for the generous amount of food given.
Merichk's used to have 'buzz' and atmosphere that was a throwback to the 50's, but it feels that's slowly disappeared in recent years. My father used to eat here in the early 60's & I brought my friends, girlfriends in the 90's & now wife/family so I feel somewhat qualified to discuss how I feel things have changed.
