I was a little disappointed. I thought it was an ethnic type of restaurant. However, it was more of an American cuisine. Don't get me wrong, the food was good tasting. The place was clean and the service was great.
A Joliet/Crest Hill staple - opened in the 1930's
Nothing fancy, and in the 25 years I've been visiting, it hasn't been updated (not that it's a bad thing, if it ain't broke, don't fix-it).
Their signature Poor Boy is a large sandwich, but at $14, kinda hard to justify the cost for seasoned ground beef on a piece of French Bread
Food is plentiful, tasty, and served quickly

This place is nostalgic for me it was my grandma's favorite place. To be able to share this with a coworker who felt the same nostalgia made it taste even better. We will always drive the hour to get it. My wife's sandwich is still steaming.
