Ordered 2 stacks of pancakes, one basket of biscuits, an order of corn beef hash, and a Carmel macchiato. The coffee was awful, didn’t finish it. Corn beef hash wasn’t cooked enough and had too much salt. The biscuits are not normal traditional biscuits but these huge odd shaped pieces of fluffy bread. My kids liked the pancakes. I didn’t. They had a weird flavor that left a bad after taste in my mouth. Needless to say I won’t be back.
This place tries to be a more upscale breakfast joint, but to be honest they’re slinging out the same food you can get for half the price at any other local pancake house. It’s all just so…bland. Had the Cajun biscuit with garlic steak and it tasted like absolutely nothing. No garlic, no Cajun, nothing. Not even any salt or pepper. The hash browns were completely unseasoned and the biscuits are bland unless you add lots of butter. The corned beef hash skillet of all things needed salt. That’s the last thing on earth that should need salt. If you do go, stick with very basic fare…omelets, pancakes, bacon & eggs and skip the fancy sounding ‘nasty biscuits’ and ‘cinnamon roll pancakes’. Otherwise you’ll be disappointed. One thing both good and bad is the portions are HUGE, so it’s easy to split. The bad thing is when you’re done you’re left with a plateful of bland food you have to take home and fix because it’s also way too expensive to justify leaving it behind. Did I mention the noise level? Bring earplugs.
Great breakfast for breakfast and lunch. The space is warm and friendly. The menu has SO many amazing choices and specials! It was difficult to choose! Great, friendly helpful service.
Owner or the lady there w blonde long hair and glasses is extremely rude. Was meeting there w a friend but would never step foot in there. Horrible way to treat people.
waited 10 minutes for coffee. staff on cell phones and engaged in anything else but waiting on tables. when coffee arrived, it was cold. 2 coffees over 7 dollars. we got up and left and went to the Original Pancake house restaurant on Jefferson in Joliet, Made it clear to owner/manager that we will never darken his doorstep...
I wasn’t feeling good after eating I threw up a lot at home the food wasn’t good as it was but I’m sick
Hi are you hiring, I worked there for a year when you first opened, I was one of the original group, loved it and miss it
We went for breakfast, we had a party of 6. We only had to wait for a few minutes. It is expensive but the food is amazing and the portions are huge! We had an excellent server. I would highly recommend! We were visiting family. When we are back in town we will go back there!
Great breakfast/brunch spot with large portions, beyond fair prices, great service, and a good atmosphere! Large menu so there’s something for everyone!

Trap place!
If you love breakfast and brunch types of eating experiences, the SC is your type of place. There is an unbelievable assortment of creative food choices that are homemade. From their omelettes and skillet’s to their sandwiches and chicken fried chicken and biscuits, you will not go wrong here!
Went to Joliet on Saturday night for a Guns and Roses tribute band, great show by the way. Sunday morning I wake before her and start the search for a good breakfast. On man I’m so glad this place came up. Awesome service by Brenda, lots of staff running around to assist. If you love biscuits and gravy you have got to try the B&G Omelette, words cannot explain how good this is. If I’m in Joliet again for breakfast it will definitely be a return to this place. Happy Traveling Friends.
It’s a real shame about this location, because the food is excellent. The place is a little hidden, so it’s easy to drive right past it. But it’s full of creativity. More importantly great food that will feed you for a good price. It’s a shame it’s only breakfast/lunch, because I’d come here anytime.
I come here for the biscuits!! Oh so yummy! But everything else is good! The service and employees is great!
