I come here a few times during their open season. Today 10/02/25 I went and puechased a chocolate malt and a vanilla/chocolate ice cream cone. Upon tasting the malt I realized it tasted spoiled. I tried my son’s ice cream and it tasted spoiled as well. I went back to the register and let “Maddie” know. Her first words were “our ice cream isn’t spoiled.” I told her both that I purchased tasted spoiled so she gave me a refund. The same thing happened last year around September but the cashier who took care of me didn’t have an attitude like Maddie did.

Quality is way down under new ownership, and they exchanged their indoor seating for more senseless gambling. They are literally telling us they care more about profit than the community. Used to work there and they can 1000% put the cottage cone in a cone. It was made to fit the medium cone. Bring back real cottage cones, give us indoor seating and its a 5.

Me and my darling 6 year old went there for a garbage truck?? I can't remember the name but it had worms in it. There's also a park nearby walking distance.

Ordered a small cup of their cheesecake ice cream and it is just vanilla ice cream. Severely disappointed. They also need better staff because the one girl looked like she didn’t want to be there at all and was giving us dirty looks when we were looking at what we wanted. Will never go back

Stopped by Cone Cottage in Crete for a quick treat! The ice cream was tasty and the prices were fair for what you get. The place has a classic small-town feel, and the staff was friendly enough. What really made the stop fun was that they offered a doggie sundae, which our pup absolutely loved! It’s always nice to find a spot that thinks of the four-legged family members too. Nothing fancy, but a solid choice on a warm day if you’re in the area. Would visit again!

Cone Cottage is an absolute staple and gem ice cream spot in this area! Their prices are fantastic, along with their friendly staff. Everything is made well and quick. They have amazing options and a variety of them too! Our favorite is their "Elephant Poop Blaster" which is seriously one of the best flurries out there. Don't knock it until you try it!!! :)
