“Dined here September 6, 5PM. Stopped in while out on an errand.

I ordered a steak burrito and a chicken bowl. The burrito was half rice. The black beans were undercooked. The steak was bland. There was also a teaspoon of sour cream. The bowl also had a lot of rice. The extra guacamole was a chunk of avocado. Beans were undercooked. The chicken was decent.

The service was what one would expect for a brand new place. The staff looked to be the owners, perhaps 2 couples and a friend. Kiosk ordering. Another customer was directed to the kiosk and wasn't allowed to order at the register even though are two card readers right there. I don't know if they take cash. My order was checked by 2 people and pushed at me as that lady turned away.

This place has major Chipotle vibes. And I know they are brand new. I hope they get the kinks worked out as it is close to home and on my travel route. I'm going to wait a couple of weeks and try again. I hope it is better.

Follow up: My return visit was a positive experience. Service kinks have been worked out. Restaurant is clean. Try one of their shrimp items! They are grilled to perfection. Great flavor.”

“It's always a pleasure to go to Old Town the white people treat you so good down there the food is great the drinks is a reasonable price it won't hurt your pocket so I try my best stay away from black owned club because black owned club black owned places are too high and too expensive they hurt black people pocket so old town is the place to go I'm keeping all this 100 💯”

“Finally got around to checking out this newer local spot, and we were impressed! It's a small space, but well designed, clean and comfortable. Super friendly patrons, charming bartender, enthusiastic owner. The Monday night trivia was fun and run very well. I don't think they offer food, but the drinks were very affordable! Thanks Roxann!”

“Katie was our waitress last night and she was so sweet! I had a Blueberry Moscow Mule, and it was made to perfection! We had the guacamole as an appetizer and it was delicious and beautifully presented! My husband had the Sacramento Burger with Cajun Fries & I had BBQ & Buffalo Boneless Wings with Fries. Our food came out quickly and we enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be back! We are not members of the Country Club and we love that we get to eat here too! The members we met here last night were very friendly and welcoming.”

“I personally am pleased with the crete subway especially in comparison with the south chicago heights one, but, I was delivered someone elses food on 7/30/26 at 9:05 pm. I have ring cameras so I saw the man walked to my door, bent down and left a package. I waited for him to leave because I don't open my door when not expecting anyone. It was subway sandwiches/2 of them in a bag. I brought them inside and called crete subway right away. after many rings, no answer. so beings I had nothing better to do, and on the receipt someone else bought these sandwiches for someone else, I wanted to tell the subway employees the bag was unopened and they could come back for it and deliver it to the right hungry person. Of course without anyone answering the phone for 25 minutes that didn't happen. I don't eat turkey so guess what happened to those two sandwiches? no business should run without phone service and no business should put up with employees not answering the phone. You are open until 930 and orders should be taken up to that time, not clean up and don't answer the phone. Sad someone might have been not feeling well and didn't eat last night because of a wrong delivery and non answered phone.”

“This place is shabby as hell!!! Every time we eat here, the food is awful. Thrown together and either microwaved too much or cold. Please get better staff and make sure your food is on point. Your location is in Steger/Crete. Step it up a bit and stop serving shabby food because prices are high and pretty soon no one will be able to afford to go out and eat!!”

“Sharon baked my husband and I’s wedding cake. Let me say, it was as delicious as it was beautiful! We got a lemon cake with raspberry filling and it was one of the best cakes either of us have ever have! We are happy to have leftovers. Sharon was also SO friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. We highly recommend her!”

“If I could give service 6 stars I would! I asked for Bartender's Favorite and Tristan made me an INCREDIBLE drink- whereas most employees would have gone generic, he was honest and incredibly friendly and chatty the whole time. I'm leaving with a grin on my face and this drink is my NEW FAVORITE!!”
