Delicious homemade fresh cooked food. Very flavorful. We got the cheeseburger and j*** tacos. We stumbled in accidentally but was not disappointed. The gentleman that worked there was very polite and rightfully proud of his kitchen craft. I would recommend anyone to stop in and try a bite at this locally owned and operated shop. We will be back!

I live in Crete and just tried the Crete Sandwich Shop for the first time today. WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO TRY THIS PLACE!I tried the j*** chicken tacos (2 for $5 on Friday is such a deal).Let me tell you, they were some of the best tacos I've ever had, and hands down the best j*** chicken. So. Good.I'm coming back every Friday for these tacos and I can't wait to try everything else on the menu.Do NOT sleep on this place, they're a Crete gem.

I hear the owners are so sweet and welcoming. I ate here a couple times but I did not go inside. The food was great. I always eat the j*** tacos.. my whole house eats them lol.

Go here if you’re in Crete!!We couldn’t find the taco place on the same block and tried this place. It was warm and cozy and the food was delicious. The owners are very friendly and kind, and we had a great lunch!Walter told us how he learned all the sandwich making skills while working at a Jewish deli in Chicago’s (now) University Village. He knows what he’s doing!
