Still 5 stars. I think every time I've been in, Daniel is the one working, taking orders, seating, etc. I was in again last night and he was great as always.
I really like living so close to The Loft and love taking friends and family there for food when they visit. The food and service are fantastic. Highly recommend!

Ordered online for carry out the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Food was prepared on time and packaged well. One entree was incorrect, it was prepared differently than described online and was missing a key component, otherwise the food was very good!

owner is very big and rude and serves food either cold or undercooked. long wait times for food, mean owner, bad food, bad environment. Also not very easily wheelchair accesible despite having a fully functional elevator built into the building.

My son took us for dinner at "The Loft Restaurant" in Crete, IL. When we arrived the place was empty. As we sat down, the waiter informed us the air conditioning was not working and some of the stuff on the menu was no longer available.. Although the waiter was nice, he would take a bit to come back. Now the food was good, but the service was a little slow. I was just comparing the waitress, who took care of another table, who was there at least twice as much to our waiter was at our table. Now here's the kicker. Regardless of the service, there is an automatic 23% tip added to the bill. My son was told that there was nothing that could be done about the tip. The 23% tip will be automatically added to the bill. I think the person paying should be the one adding the tip for the service, not the business. This is not a place I will be going back to visit.

The air conditioner was out, the service was slow and our table, of 4 adults and 2 children, was still obligated to pay 23% tip. Don’t get me wrong, I believe good service requires recognition, but mandatory tip of 23%, This is ridiculous.
If you do choose to come, please add 23% to whatever you order so you aren’t blindsided like we were.

The owner onsite is friendly and super accommodating. Was there for an event after work. I ordered the beef and fry and it was ready in minutes. Made fresh to order. I love the original woodwork, exposed brick and windows. Tried the pizza previously and is delicious as well. Great local place for a quick bite to eat with a great atmosphere. Keep up the great work! ?

Ordered a large cheese pizza for downstairs. Pizza was undercooked. Blonde like khaki pants. Sauce was like boyardee or ragu, and cheese was like the cheapest stuff from Aldi. It reminded me of a home run in frozen or some 6$ frozen you added extra bag cheese to and didn't cook it long enough. Sorry won't order pizza from here again.
