You guys…this might be the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. The frosting was perfect. It was not too sweet and not too cream cheesy but it was a velvety smooth combination of both with neither flavor overpowering. The pastry itself was perfectly cooked and not too doughy. And the cinnamon! Chefs kiss. Well done Black Market Bakery!

Black Market Bakery exceeds expectations every time. It is the best and a great addition to downtown Crystal Lake. The bakery offers fresh, flavorful, and delicious items, including the lemon crinkle cookie, blueberry pie bars, orange cinnamon roll, and raspberry cheeses danish. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The pastries are made with quality and care, and the service is professional and polite. The bakery is a new favorite for many, and people will definitely be back. It is a great local bakery with fresh and tasty items, and if something is out of stock, the staff will likely make it as soon as possible. The outdoor seating could be improved, but overall, Black Market Bakery is a gem in downtown Crystal Lake.
