I’m not one to review but the owner needs to be aware of his staff stealing from them and the rudeness that happens to customers and minors working at this establishment. To disrespect and belittle and bully a minor is beyond upsetting. The accusations made indirectly to the minor was a real low from staff to both shift managers luckily texts don’t lie and cameras do not lie.

Every time I go for a strawberry biscuit, they tell me it's gonna be a 7 minute wait. Every time! I just want a strawberry biscuit.

The staff is not friendly at all. In fact they are rude. As for the environmental cleanliness of the restaurant it is bad. The tables in the dining area were dirty. The mens restroom was disgusting. I believe they are under staffed.

If I were rating only the food, this place would be an easy five stars. However, the service consistently falls short. Each time I visit—now less frequently—I encounter a new set of employees, yet the same poor attitude remains. From the way they speak to customers to how they hand over the food, their demeanor feels unwelcoming. It makes me wonder what’s happening behind the scenes to create such a consistently negative atmosphere.

A simple smile or a courteous interaction could make a significant difference. It would be great to see employees who, at the very least, can maintain a professional and pleasant attitude while serving customers.

Food is good, but rhe service and restaurant cleanliness is subpar.

On the evening of April 27, 2025, I made my way to the Popeyes location in Crystal Lake, Illinois, around 10 PM, eager to indulge in a delicious meal. When I arrived at the drive-thru, the sign indicated that the restaurant was closed, but after a brief moment, someone responded to my order. To my dismay, the person answering seemed quite dismissive and unfriendly.

I placed my order for the 16-piece chicken meal, accompanied by two additional sides—one being the classic mashed potatoes and the other, a helping of coleslaw. After a short wait, which felt longer than necessary, I finally received my food.

The drive home took just about four minutes, and I was looking forward to enjoying my meal. However, upon opening the food, I was met with a disappointing sight: the chicken appeared as if it had been sitting out since early morning, with a dull color and an unappetizing texture. Hesitant but hopeful, we decided to taste it, only to find that it was shockingly dry and nearly impossible to chew. The biscuits were even worse—hard and crumbly, lacking any of the warmth and buttery goodness I had come to expect.

Having spent $68 on this meal, it was incredibly frustrating to find everything inedible, forcing me to discard it all. In the end, I had no choice but to seek out a meal at McDonald's instead. This experience was far below the standards I expect from Popeyes, and I am left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied.

Overcharged for items I didn’t even order, no sauce, and the items I did order were incorrect.

It's always a pleasure to encounter exceptional customer service, and Esmeralda provided just that! Her professionalism was evident in every interaction. She was efficient in taking orders and ensuring they were accurate, and her kindness made the whole experience a delight. It's rare to find someone so dedicated to providing a positive experience in a fast-paced environment. Esmeralda truly deserves recognition for her outstanding service.

Placed a pickup order online an hour ahead and was told it would be 15 more minutes when we went to pick it up
