I usually don’t leave reviews but the service was amazing and made my day. We had came through the drive thru and driven home but realized we were missing our fries once we finally got to our food. Mistakes happen, I work in customer service so I know how it is when it’s busy. I had called and spoke to Austin who was very kind about the situation, and he said they’d remake our entire order, not just the fries. When we came back, the blonde girl with eyeliner at the window...

Lather rinse repeat, the chain that tastes the same no matter which location you visit. They've earned themselves a spot as a Chicago staple and a must try it you're in the area.

I love the decorations at Crystal Lake’s Portillo’s most of all! It is always such a fun place to visit. I didn’t get any pictures this visit, Saturday, March 21st, 2026, but as a long time resident of Crystal Lake I have dined here several times. Today’s visit had a very busy drive thru line but was not busy at all when it came to dine in which was very nice to see for Portillo’s. The food, as always, is delicious and I can’t wait for my next visit back.(Written 4-4-26)
