This is one of the top BBQ joints in all of illinois. Every option ive chose has been amazing, it doesn't matter what you get you'll be happy and excited for more.

Super good! Pulled pork is tender as all get out and the flavor...oh, the flavor! Savory, smoky....mmmm
Gets pretty busy around the noon lunch rush, with good reason, but you can call ahead and carry out if you want, too.

When entering Carrol Lou's Smokehouse, I was taken away to a southern state of mind by the atmosphere and character this old house contained. The menu is top-notch as are food portions. Even better is the overwhelming pitmaster smell and taste of the food. Plenty of rubs and sauce choices to please everyone!

Would have given them four stars but their hospitality was lacking. I asked to see what 1/4 pound of brisket looked like and they refused to show me. The lady at the counter kept saying it was a couple of slices. I asked her to do 1/4 pound and show me because I might want more and she didn't want to do it. The brisket lacked seasoning. But it was very tender. It was rather tasteless. The beans were very good. Very poor customer service.
Melt in your mouth brisket. Ribs done to perfection. Get here early before they run out. You all need to bottle your sauce and sell it.. seriously!!!!

Ordered Burnt Ends and 1/2 slab of Ribs. The Burnt Ends where tender, they were quite dry. The Ribs were very good, not overcooked which allowed for bite through. Nice smoked flavor. They were quite hot (temperature wise), had to wait to eat them, which was difficult because they tasted so good.

They charged me for buns without asking and im pretty sure folks that they are cutting strips of beef roastband making it look like brisket im about 90 percent sure on this and charging brisket prices, im pretty dissapointed
