“I am new to Decatur, so stopped in to see how their coffee was, and all I can say is WOW, I am from Seattle known for their great coffee, this was better (I know, how strange is that?). The staff was very friendly, the facility was clean and it was a really good place to kick back and have this great cup of coffee (whole milk latte). I highly recommend it!!”

“Always hits the spot when craving a great burger. Lemon cone is always yummy, especially with extra sprinkles, as well as their root beer floats. Drive-through is almost always packed (RT48 & Forsyth locations), but they are on top of always keeping it flowing fairly quickly. I have zero problems waiting my turn to order, knowing I'm going to get a great meal at a decent price. I've never had my order mixed up or prepared wrong in all the years I've dined here.Parking: All locations have decent parking, but spots can be limited during peak dining hours due to lot size (Rt.36 & Rt. 48 locations). Wood St. location has plenty of parking and is walk-up or phone in ordering.”

“Do yourself a favour, get a torpedo sandwhich. They are fantastic, the secret is on the bread, it’s the best. I’ve had the baked spaghetti too and it’s good, but the torpedo is where it’s at. Because the bread is the secret, the garlic bread and the cinnamon bread are banging also!”

“Best BBQ spot in town! The owner is super nice and the last time I was there, Heather was the gal up front, she was attentive and friendly. When I walked in she was cleaning up the front area which looked spotless, and checking customers out. She was busy, but still smiling and cheerful. These days a smile is hard to come by in a fast-food type of restaurant. Such a pleasant staff and delicious food! The "all-in-meals" are our favorite thing to order! One huge entree, a side, and a drink for around 7 bucks!”

“For our large group, after the soccer ⚽️ tournament, they handled our group with ease and smiles on their faces. The service was very good, and we paid with one check to make it go smoother. The chips and salsa were very tasty and asked for seconds. Our food arrived in a timely manner with everything hot and just as we ordered. The food was very good, and the menu had all the ingredients that were included in that dish. I had the taco salad that had a homemade taco shell that was so tasty, and I would recommend that and order that again ? ?!! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu ? ? ?!! Try it you'll like it!!”

“Family own restaurant. ITALIAN BEEF it's amazing. Fries very well season.I stopped here for breakfast but I was too late. It's me favorite meal of the day, so I was very disappointed at myself which mentally blocks me from enjoying food. Not a fan of sandwiches, so I thought I'll bite from my hubby and drink a coffee. Well, I wanted 3 of these AMAZING sandwiches.Great surprised with the flavors and service. “Good food and large portions . We enjoyed it. Update: We placed an online order on 6/24/2023. They took our order and our money. When we went to pick up our food, they were closed. No sign on the door saying that they had moved, but their name was gone from the door. We went online and found another address. We went to that address and found that there was no one there either. We have eaten at Bobbie Lanes many times. I AM DISSAPOINTED.”

“The food is so amazing and the service has always been great every time i go up there. It’s about 10 dollars a person if you don’t go too crazy when you order. They’re also usually very lenient and accommodating with their customers. I recommend the chili during the winter. the cook makes it daily during the fall-winter months so it’s very fresh.”

“This Papa Murphy's is the closest one to us but it's still over an hour away. So, when we get to go it's a real treat! We tried the new double cheesy pizza. It was great! If you don't like cheese don't get it because it is very cheesy. We also tried the new meatballs they were good for take out but definitely not close to homemade. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly but extremely busy with only two people but I'm not sure this was typical for a Thursday. We will be back for sure.Parking: Parking is directly in front of the building which is nice for me. I can order and wait on the car and see when my pizza is up.”

It was not busy during the Saturday afternoon we visited, but it looked like they were having a band or something later. We went to Decatur specifically to go to 3 breweries, Golden Fox had the best beer of the 3.”

“My buddy and I went there after being turned away from the restaurant to the north. Glad we did. I had the New York stip, garlic mashed potatoes and root vegetables. All were exceptional. My buddy had the glazed pork chop, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. He was also very pleased. I definitely would recommend eating there.”

“Food was fair. Had a wrap that was good but was real soggy. There wasn't a side that wasn't fried. I am diabetic and stay clear of greasy fried foods. It would have been nice if they could have thrown some lettuce in a bowl for a side salad. The chicken in the wrap was grilled so it was fine. Just got soggy. People was nice place was clean. The rest of family was happy.”

“Went to visit University Dogs while in Decatur for work. Ordered a steamed chicago style hot dog and small order of fries. The service and atmosphere of the place was pretty nice. The hot dog was pretty tasty. The only complaint I have regarding this place is that the fries are not that good unfortunately. But I would definitely recommend the Chicago style hot dog.”

“Best tacos I've ever had! Their red(hot) sauce is by far the best in town. The corn tortillas are magical. Marcos has really changed my mind of Mexican cuisine. I used to go to any restaurant and just order papa nachos and call it a day, but the Mexican steak street tacos changed my life forever. I ate there nearly everyday last year for lunch, and found myself lost when he closed the truck down last year for winter. I wandered out and tried to find tacos this good, but was unable to find anything close. I only wish I could get them for breakfast.”

“The cashier here lied to me! She said the best thing about Decatur was the university. This isn’t true! She left off the double cheeseburger here at Kreckel’s!Come in and expect a clean restaurant with friendly staff, delicious burgers and chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh!I could tell my burger was cooked on a very hot grill because it had a delicious little bit of char on it and great peppery taste. I thought the double had a good meat to bun ratio. The fries were crispy out and soft inside.I hope I get a chance to come back and try more around the menu!”

“It's fast-food BBQ, you place your order at the counter and get your food within minutes. The customer service was exceptional, and there were plenty of options to customize your order. The meats were the highlight of my meal, except for the excessive sauce poured on them. The sides were good but not particularly noteworthy. The one thing I would do differently on my next visit is to request the BBQ sauce on the side.”

“I stopped into Culver's after work and got a deluxe bacon butter burger. I wasn't sure what all came on it so I inquired and the person assisting me was more than willing to answer my question. They weren't hurried to ask me, "is that all?" Cutting me off as other (golden arch) restaurants do. Good quality is great, the establishment was clean as well and the wait was pretty short.”

“Everything was good. The sandwich was a beef and cheddar but seemed a little dry compared to what it usually is. But the Mac and cheese was a different story. It is the hidden gem of fast food. I am telling you it was the best fast food I have ever had. Arby's keeping this quiet is a pure waste. Everyone should be ordering it.”

“The Winery, what can one person say. It is renowned for the best burger in town but has several other grill options. Joe Campbell the owner even finds Vegetarian options for customers because he cares. Okay, that is really it, the owner cares. He gives a-damn about your satisfaction and happiness. He is there everyday. The Winery is his life and reputation. He has the best drink prices in town. He probably barely makes enough to keep the place open. He has a daily drink specials. Various drafts make the cheap list, but he keeps several crafts nearby. They are also great at reading their customers, they will make a cocktail based upon the description you tell them of your day. There isn't a better place to eat, drink or hang out than the Winery. Give it 30 minutes to an hour and the entire clientele will change. If you find a place nationwide that is more hospitable, then you should be there.”
