The Mid Week special comes with Cinnamon Bread which is free, so you're just paying for the base. The Family Feast comes with a quart of soda which is not indicated as free, so you're paying for the base plus the soda. Why does the Mid Week special cost more?”

“I love Coffee Connection! I don't drink coffee but I LOVE their Iced Vanilla Chai Tea. It's the best I have ever had anywhere and I have tried a ton! The employees are always bright and cheery and that's been the case every trip for the last 13+ years. I used to live across the street and I visited often back then. We moved about 10 years ago and now whenever I'm in the area I have to stop for a tea. Today was one of those days and the tea was the perfect like always! Thank you Coffee Connection!”

“I live 5 minutes away from Friendly's and I go for breakfast so this review is concernd with breakfast only. I have gone for 2+ years of typical 2x a week for breakfast. I go early in the 6:15 to 6:30a range. My awesome Lissa, who opens 7 days a week is a phenomenal waitress and she makes the best bloody mary per my request. I have basically 2 menu items I do order from. But typically I get #12. Half order of biscuits and gravy, fried red potatoes, 2 sausage patties and 2 eggs over medium. Everything is smothered in jalapenos and I douse with redhot. I take 1/2 home for another meal. I can not say enough how good everything is, the service provided and having ample leftovers for a second meal.”

“This was our first time here. To the point, service was not the quickest but there was only 1 server and a cook that I could see. Server was nice and took good care of us. Took our order, brought drinks, did refills, etc., in a timely manner. Food was hot, good and plenty of it. Not fancy, good homecooked food and you don't have to do the dishes! Servings could have been 2 meals but I was hungry!😆 We had omelets, pancakes, French toast 😋. When you're riding down Main St., in Decatur, Il stop and try this local spot.”

Sometimes I can freeze them to give to someone who needs them so they don't go to waste. Except, no homeless coming by to give them to so far this year. Could you please pray for our homeless whether they are still with us or not?”

“Whenever you are in Decatur, The Wharf is a must! My first week in Decatur we found this little place that did not disappoint. First the service, it doesn’t get much friendlier than The Wharf. Whether you’re a regular or new to the place they make you feel like you belong. Cori will welcome you when you walk in and never forget your name or order. Ashlyn will wow you with her speed and overall fun attitude. All around, everyone working, and they work hard are great! The atmosphere is something else! I may be a little biased, I love a sea motif. It’s the place you would expect all the fishermen end their nights at after a day on the water. It needs to be seen to experience fully. Lastly, the food. I cannot emphasize how the quality of everything on the menu is the highest standard. Every dish looks as wonderful as it tastes. The presentation of each dish is so appealing that it is difficult to choose what to order. The cooking is at such a high bar, every bite is a perfect bite. They make it easy to need to return to explore the menu, which is balanced perfectly. Highly recommend the walleye sandwich! The drinks! How could I forget them? Have Cori mix you up one of the custom cocktails from the menu, Kiss the Captain is a favorite. The beer rotation is top notch thanks to Josh, owner and head chef, Josh understands good beer as much as he understands good ingredients in the kitchen. To summarize, The Wharf is a place that will feel more like an extension of your home then just a great restaurant. Thanks all to the experience of the outstanding team that keeps the place moving on a consistent basis.”

“I stopped by HotShots Bar & Grill around 3 PM and was impressed right from the moment I walked in. The service was quick—someone greeted me as soon as I stepped through the door, and within the first 30 minutes, I noticed the management (Drew) making their rounds, personally checking in with customers. That kind of attention to detail is always a good sign.

The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The music was playing at just the right volume—not too loud, not too quiet—and the lighting set a chill vibe without being too dim. Even though it was a slower time of day, the place still had a welcoming energy that made me want to hang out longer.

Food came out fast and hot, just the way it should. My drink was perfectly mixed with the right balance—no heavy hand on the liquor or syrupy mess. And I’ve gotta give a shoutout to Bri, the bartender. She was amazing—friendly, on top of things, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.”
