Good burgers and fries, shake. Service was good, was first time here. Similar to Culvers, still was good. Would come back for sure
I recently visited the Oakland location & lemme tell you they are a wonderful staff...one young man stood out with his exceptional customer relation was very kind, attentive and ever so eager to please with a infectious smile was Davone ...I so appreciated his professionalism. Serves was fast ...food great and bathrooms are the cleanest in Decatur ...as a patron to fast food restaurants doesn't matter how good the food is if you are treated like just a number, not here at this...read full review
I should have taken a photo. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Staff was A+. Everyone should get a raise.

Krekel's West is a popular restaurant in Decatur, known for its thin burgers and ice cream. The place is praised for its friendly staff, handicap accessibility, and great ice cream options. The restaurant is a family-friendly destination, with ample parking and a kid-friendly atmosphere. Customers have reported delicious food, including exceptional burgers, fries, and corn dogs, as well as insane shake options. The service is always friendly and efficient, even when the restaurant is busy. While some customers have mentioned a slightly long wait time, the food is always fresh and worth the wait. The restaurant could benefit from some additional outer decor to attract non-local customers, but overall, Krekel's West is a beloved destination for its tasty and reasonably priced menu.
