Great small town, Decatur, Illinois local owners, and has the best custard ice cream, creamy and tasty. I just love their lemon strawberry twist. My husband loves the burgers and fries. Once you try it out, you'll go back for more.
Parking: Small parking lot, but it's mostly to go orders. Had outdoor tables and benches convenient for family members, friends, and roadrrip stopped and have a unique atmospheric place with a huge roste metallic structure right in front, family's owned logo. Great experience...

They messed up my order I do not recommend this place... I was in there a week ago and it took them 20 minutes to make a shake for 1 person. Then the lady's there are not nice there rude but if a brown person walks up and orders they make sure there taking care of and that's not fair... They also make fun of costumers while they wait for there food... Bad business and pour handling of others will get u no business. ?

Food and service is normally fantastic... But this visit they got one sandwich completely wrong. They had to pull the original handwritten ticket to verify. Then it took forever to get the correction.

My first time visiting after hearing a lot of people talk about it. I recommend getting a double burger since the patty is thin. This place reminds me of “steak and shake” back when it was good. The brownie dessert is big enough to share for sure! Unfortunately the chicken car is no longer there. A must stop while in the “D town”.

Krekels has never disappointed me,ever! I go to Wood st location,I tried tha location on rt 48 was very disappointed,tried tha one right down from lu lu' s , dissatisfied also,but Wood st u get 15 ⭐
