Very slow. Two pieces of chicken and 8 shrimp . 20 minute wait , like what ?
The food was horrible doesn't taste like Popeyes half of the side they didn't have and the doors was locked at 7:44 pm

(Decatur ,IL) You could tell that this nighttime crew really cared about what they were doing, completely focused on the tasks, shouting out calls with ease and response heard was just as quick. Everyone fit well into their positions and did them well! They even stayed calm and collected when dealing with semi frustrated customers in the middle of the rush they were in! I couldn't do that the way they were...No matter the wait, the food was hot and fresh, everything was there in the bags, even a extra Lil snack on the side for being patient and understanding ;) we gave them a tip for showing us how much they appreciated us being patient and hopefully showed how much we appreciated them and what they do! It might have not been much but we would have more if we could.

This Popeyes has some issues with staffing having child care. There's times when there are 1 to 2 children sitting in a booth while their parent works. Not really a very good atmosphere to dine.

Do not trust getting your food from the one & only Popeyes in Decatur, IL! I had it last night for dinner, and here it is the next morning, and I wake up with the WORST stomach cramps ever & throwing up nonstop. I will never trust to eat there again, especially after seeing all of these bad reviews.

Every time I go in here they don't have something either. Spoons or straws. And all the staff except the staff have the biggest attitude for no reason. The side door is always locked with No sign saying use other door. Then when u knock hard they come to the door cursing. Like you've done something wrong. I just chose not to eat here because of the rude staff that work the front.

Service was really good. The two ladies that took my order were very nice and courteous. The chicken was done, and crispy how I liked, but seemed not to be seasoned. The red Beans and rice were like mush mostly. This was Monday evening Dec 8th.

Everything was terrible I ordered on the app the store was closed I never got my food or refund they never open the phone numbers do not work they need to be shut down
This place is trash, and it’s not necessarily because of the food — it’s the people who work there. At this location, the employees are downright rude and disrespectful. While I was waiting for my pickup order, I watched and overheard them talking badly about a customer and being rude.
I ordered a 6-piece Sweet and Spicy wing with an iced sweet tea. I waited about 20 minutes, even though I ordered through the app, and when I finally received my food, it was wrong. They gave me plain chicken wings with Sweet Heat sauce — not Sweet and Spicy! The whole experience was just terrible and completely unprofessional.
Oh, and the tea didn’t even have ice in it! When I realized my order was incorrect, I pulled up to the drive-thru and asked for the Sweet and Spicy sauce again. The employee gave me Sweet Heat — again — and immediately shut the window. I waited until she opened it back up, and when I asked for the correct sauce, she told me, “I don’t know what you want me to do.”
Well, for starters, maybe give me what I paid for. I usually get the sauce on the wings, not on the side. She should have known which sauce I was talking about but acted like she had no idea.
I don’t recommend anyone go to this location, and I definitely won’t be returning. Maybe I sound like a “Karen,” but this isn’t the first bad experience I’ve had here. The employees — and even the manager, who had an attitude herself — need serious training on how to run the place and treat customers with respect.
Another frustrating thing is that there’s no way to file a complaint, which says a lot. If you don’t like customer service, then you shouldn’t be working in customer service!

Place is kind of bland and even run down like a lot of other businesses in the same area but the food was delicious and looked to have been prepared professionally in a clean and well maintained environment and the employees were all busy doing a great job.

3/7/25 Went thru the drive thru, order was wrong. I went inside and witnessed 2 employee's arguing, with foul language while kids were present. Then 2 employee's walked out of the store while a line of customers were present. 2 customers came in and started taking orders to the cars waiting in the drive thru. When I got my order, the mac was old and cold, the fries and chicken were ok. The pie had a raw flour coating. I feel the employee's are only as good as the management is. DO BETTER POPEYE'S!!
