The food was great! My fries were hot. The atmosphere was ok. Wasn't many in there. Let's talk about the service.... having g to order on the kiosk is horrible. I'm at least a little tech savy, and still had a difficult time with placing my order. But some people, especially older ones might not be able to figure out how place their order at all. I gave service 3 because the lady there was very sweet and kind and helped me maneuver around it.

Ordered a Chili Three Ways and was informed that item was no longer available. I then ordered the Chili Five Ways (minus onions). When I arrived home I realized there wasn't any cheese on it. When I spoke with the restaurant they said I did not specify I wanted cheese on it. WHAT! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SPECIFY YOU WANT SOMETHING THAT NORMALLY IS INCLUDED IN AN ORDER?

This is the last time I'll go to steak 'n shake because you have to order by kiosk now there's no personal service at this location. And you have to get up and get your own food no thanks won't be going back

Food was greasy but made us feel sick. They have a newish scan a qr code to get the fountain drink machine to work, and you must scan every time. Several tables were dirty.

This is one of our favorite burger and shake places in the area. Ordering on a kiosk instead of through a person is annoying, but we prefer the burgers and shakes to all competing restaurants in this space.

I've ordered thru DoorDash a few times without issue. Ordered a chili 5 way and received a regular chili Mac, with so much grease it about made me sick. I called the Mt Zion IL location to confirm it came from there, which it did. Manager said I needed to bring it back, as they don't deliver remakes. The whole point of ordering doordash was to not have to get out. By the time I took this back and get my correct order and returned home, it was 40 minutes. She didn't offer a discount or anything toward a future purchase. Just handed me my bag, said sorry, and walked away. I get that things happen. But how you respond as a manager to a customer leaves a lasting impression. I miss the old Steak N Shake where you could actually sit down and have somebody wait on you. Now, you get to place your order at a kiosk and pick it up at the window.
