I hate to leave a bad review for this establishment because I’ve had great meals here in the past. I’m moving back to Decatur and was actually looking forward to a mean here. However, service tonight was unacceptable. When I called ahead, I was told it would be ready in 35 minutes. I got there 40 minutes later and waited another 15 minutes. The meal was not worth the wait. Stiff cold rice, warm watery lassee, cold pakora (only four pieces) and no sauce, and the chicken in my butter chicken was dry and crunchy. I’m not sure I will be back.

Highly recommend this place if you're looking for fresh Indian cuisine at a reasonable price! The owner is super friendly and will answer any questions you have. I usually get the butter chicken (Basic, I know).

I ordered veg and chicken biryani here, not so great taste if you are from south india. Raita is too bad, i guess it's spoiled or from previous day. Gulab jamun is good but don't feel it's worth it for $4, as i got 2.

On the way home from Champaign we (the wife & I) decided we wanted to put gas in the van, so we consulted GasBuddy app. It sent us to the nearby County/Harvest Market. Opened the map portion and saw that Tandoori Express was nearby and had a 4.9 star rating. We've learned over the years to pay attention when any restaurant has a high rating. So we pulled up the reviews and menu and looked what we saw, so we ordered online for pickup in a half hour. Food was ready in 20 minutes. Tom it home and dove in. Excellent Indian, SO GOOD! Some of the best we've ever had anywhere. Will definitely stop by again and recommend to friends!
We picked up a delicious supper on a rainy drive home from Champaign to Springfield. Our chicken jalfrezi had big tender chunks of chicken in an amazing spicy but mild sauce. The palak paneer was delicious and comforting. Fragrant spiced rice and rosemary naan rounded out this delightful meal. We had ordered online and it was ready sooner than expected. Heavenly aromas welcomed us as we entered for pickup. We'll be back!
