Amazing food with a great owner. I have been ordering from Nikki for the last 6 years and cannot find any other Thai restaurant that matches the quality of Thai Kitchen Express. I've recommended this place to many colleagues, friends, and family and many of them have enjoyed Nikki's food.

My families favorite place for take-out in Decatur We live in Mount Zion and the food is still HOT when we get home! Love the fried rice (chicken & beef) I get 3 meals from one order (chicken is my favorite) Steamed dumplings are delicious as well!

Update: Raised their prices (I know, inflation) and removed some items from the menu. Prices are now commensurate with a full-service, full-menu, customize-your-order restaurant. I guess I'm driving downtown for Thai food again. I am disappointed.Original: Some of the best Thai food I've had since I moved here. Delicious, flavorful, fresh and clean food. I hope they convert to a regular restaurant with a full menu. Right now it's more "express" style so you can't customize your order, but I am more than happy with what they offer and the location. The coconut rice is addicting!

I’ve been here twice and both times have been amazing.Customer service is 10/10! The second time we came in there was a gentleman at the counter and he was very friendly and checked on us a couple times to see if we needed anything.The food was so flavorful! I got the beef pho and my sister got the shrimp fried rice and they were both delicious. The best food I’ve had in a long time!I will definitely be going back and 100% recommend!

Food isn't amazing and over priced. Can't call in an order even though they have a phone number. They apparently don't have a phone. You can't customize any order even if you wanna take something off or add something. Food is mediocre and resturaunt smells funny. Won't be going back for the trouble or price. Shady business.

After realizing I love curry while on vacation I decided to try Thai Kitchen Express. So far I have had the yellow curry and pad Thai, and both were delicious. The restaurant is spotless and the staff helpful with learning about the different options.

The lady that owns this place was awful. After watching how she treated the gentleman working the counter I will never support this business again. The food was ok but nothing out of this world, it's the same owners/cook as before when it was Thai Tani. If you want to make any changes to what you order good luck, example: I only wanted veggies in my spring rolls and was willing to pay the same price as the shrimp ones, the gentleman working the counter was extremely polite and apologetic but informed me he was given strick instructions there would be no modifications of any kind for anything on the menu for any reason whatsoever. BEWARE they charge a 10% gratuity without warning when you pay. No phone number, you can only order in person or online. There are no locks on the bathroom doors if you need to use them while you're there, also I would suggest finding somewhere else because of the smell and lack of cleanliness to begin with.

Kind of out of the way, but worth trying. I am not crazy about Thai food, but the gentleman behind the counter let me sample a couple items. The food is not really spicy, unless you ask for it. Nice menu selection and tasty. We ate in and the service was good. Not much traffic through there that day, but this place is a hidden gem. Food is more authentic than the chain restaurants.

Great food! Same location and chef as Thai Thani, but rethemed as a cafe takeout kind of spot for quick dine-in and carry out during lunch. Sort of like a Panda Express but with authentic Thai food instead. Specialty items like yellow curry take about 10-15 minutes from the kitchen, though several hours go into simmering the beef stock for the pho.
