We were in Decatur for a sale at the Glass House. They highly recommended we come here for dinner. So glad they did, the chicken was hot and delicious, the beer was cold, and oh my goodness the cheesy potatoes were to die for. The service was just as good!

Finally got to try this place, great fried chicken. No frills kind of place, with good food. Like I said I had the fried chicken and wife had the chicken livers, both were excellent. Nice place for a quiet meal.

My husband and I went in there Saturday afternoon around 345 we were the only ones in there besides another couple. We got waited on fairly quick and it came 45 minutes later no food yet, we flagged down the maie waiter and he tells us oh sorry our chicken is jjust now cooking because ADM had a big order .Diddn't bother to tell us before he said he didn't realize it either never got an apology for taking so long the owner never came over to the table ,waiter never checked back for anything r 25 minutes later we got our food and chicken wasn't done all the way and it was rubbery very disappointed

Food took forever, a hot ham and cheese is a grilled cheese with ham, horrible.. seriously $3.10 for a Pepsi.. slow service we will never eat here again
Today: Chicken wasn’t nearly as good as it used to be. Chicken livers were over cooked to the point of nearly blackened inside the hard to bite crust. Waitress never checked back to see if things were OK or refill tea ($3.10). Started going there 50 yrs ago and it’s never had this experience. Prices have gotten high enough that wasting money on substandard food is not an option anywhere.
