The best wings I’ve had in a while. There is a bit of a wait for wings as they cook everything fresh, but the wait is worth it!! They are perfectly sauced with so much flavor! The cook even brought us two wings with jackpot sauce to try, the staff are friendly. We will be back for sure!

I've been eating here for 3 years. We like the menu, the food and the people. Walleye and wings are our favorites. A simple, rustic atmosphere, has always been clean and comfortable. The prices don't bust the budget either. Great spot to drop in with the whole family.

Stopped by today for my lunch break and got the catfish. Absolutely in love with freshness and crispness of the food!! I didn’t even need the hot sauce for my fish because the seasonings were on point. I definitely walked out of here impressed and wishing it was closer to Chicago so i could check it out again. This place is a GEM. I had the polish sausage which was incredible. Amazing flavor & snap. I also had 6 chicken wings. The flavors are UNREAL. The owner even let me try his new flavor Jackpot. Eating here will not disappoint you. Highly recommended!

Gary is awesome and the food is just as good! The BBQ sauce on the pulled pork is some of the best I’ve ever had and the Fried bologna was super too. He even brought out some lemon pepper catfish to try and it was great too and I hate fish! Awesome place to grab a bite before the show at the Devon.

I really do enjoy that fried Bologna. It really reminds me of back home in Arkansas. And today I have those fries, they will season well and taste so good.
Do not waste your time or money. I placed an online order after which I was called by the business and told they didn’t have that food on the menu today and they were refunding my money. After waiting an hour to get my money refunded, I called to ask where my refund was only to be told They were busy and they would refund my funds “when we’re ready to”. So I go there to get my money, because my family is in need of dinner after experiencing a family emergency, there were no customers around. I was aKai accused of being drunk by management , if I could submit the screenshots of them taking my money and then placing a HOLD on my card after telling me they refunded it, I would.
I also deliver for Doordaah & have had similar issues in the past with them fulfilling those orders as well. I’ve heard the owner curse & yell about how he refuses ANY online orders, yet they have online ordering available?
I will be reporting them to the federal trade commission and to the Better Business Bureau for false advertisement and theft of goods.
This is the unfortunate character the owner has become. Terrible former landlord made into a terrible business owner, that’s Decatur for you.
Update to last review: next day, my credit card company has contacted me & let me know that Waterfront Cafe has STILL not refunded my money or released the hold on my card. In the event my money or the hold on my card is not reversed, I will be contacting my attorney Monday morning & starting a civil lawsuit. If you have a business & can’t provide the appropriate services please don’t be disgruntle & take it out on the customers because you or your business for whatever reasons don’t or cannot adequately provide the services you advertise. Last & final update: we are now 3 days into this & my money has STILL NOT been refunded for an order we never received. I regretfully used to know & be friends with the owner before he owned this business, shame what being a business owner has done to such a sweet man ?
