This place used to be the best chipotle around. Now, by far, the worst. They got a new manager like 9-12 months ago, and things have gone down hill significantly since the previous manager left.
I’ve had hard rice multiple times, they are consistently out of toppings like corn, or don’t have chips and won’t grab one of the many chip bags from the kitchen in the back. Clearly poor planning, ordering, and overall lack of oversight by the manager. This place needs help, bad.
Also, their employees either hate working there or simply hate life. They’re the most miserable group of people that I’ve ever seen serve food. And entitled to boot - like they’re doing you such a favor by doing their actual job!! Unbelievable.
Go to the one in Northbrook. This one isn’t worth the hassle and consistent disappointment. They might as well just shut this one down based on the reviews - it’s more detrimental to the brand than it’s worth to run.

Just went to the Chipotle for a burrito and taco for my son. They guy making it threw the ingredients together like it was crap he was slinging for pigs and not food someone was to eat. Took him about 15 seconds. Went so fast I didn’t realize that he also put corn on the taco. Definitely didn’t order that. Also he started making me 3 tacos saying that’s how they usually sell them. I just wanted one. Maybe that annoyed him. Anyway, I have worked in fast food and alway took care knowing people would be eating it. And for the record there was me and one other guy in line. No need to rush.

Only time i’ve been to chipotle in Illinois. I opened my quesadilla kids meal only to find Japanese sticky rice inside. No cilantro, no lime, no salt. I should’ve had soy sauce with my meal. My tortilla was also not in the toaster thingy for long enough and the cheese wasn’t melted. I’m not mad about the small portion sizes that others have mentioned because i don’t want any more of this sticky rice with my beans than i already have.

Waited 15 minutes in line only to hear that this store doesn't have the machine for a full size quesadilla. What kind of store doesn't have the necessary equipment to make food????
I went here twice and left with no food both times. The first time I walked in 40 minutes before closing time but they said they were closing early and couldn’t serve me. The second time I tried to go, they had a sign on the door saying they were out of all sodas and when I tried to order they also had no steak. The new taco place across the street is the same concept and way better in service

On May 8, 2025, late afternoon, I dined at this location. The service was ok, although they count the pieces of meat and veggies on the salad bowl!
What really must be addressed immediately is keeping the tables and floors clean at all times. I rarely eat at Chipotle in Deerfield BUT this is a pattern whenever I visit them. The manager/s must train the staff and supervise them. Maybe their should be a shift leader who will monitor things?!

Have gone 4 separate times this week and every time they are out of rice. Very frustrating becuase you can’t call and ask if they have any you just have to go and find out. I’ve never had this issue at any other chipotle but Deerfield and Lincolnshire. It’s a regular issue with them aswell.
