Its really doesnt get better than Dear Franks. Everyt8me we go, the tood is the exact same as before. Hands down the best polish sausage in the area. This is the only place thats ever asked me if id like my hot dog charred or not(couodnt reccomend charred more!). Its been the same staff for as long as i can remember and they are always fantastic! Extremely family oriented as well which i absolutely love! I really couldn't reccomend this place more for an amazing hot dog and polish sausage!

I was super happy to discover that Dear Franks has a location near my job since I’ve been eating at their Niles location for years. It’s great to be able to get some good Chicago dogs in Lake County. The burgers with hot dog toppings are great too.

Highly recommended the gyros, they also have a a Gyro Cheeseburger. Today I decided to Order onion rings and they are some of the best rings I’ve had around the area. They take cash, card, and Apple Pay.

This is my first time trying this restaurant and I loved it. My favorite Sandwich is the Italian beef, and I always like to try new restaurants to see who makes the best. I ordered the Homemade Italian beef sandwich with Hot peppers, and I loved it in general. Here is my feedback to the owner:
1. Your beef and gravy are very delicious and well balanced in taste; they are nicely seasoned which is something not all restaurants can get right. they are enjoyable to eat. Good job on this.
Here are some suggestions to further elevate the Sandwich in my opinion:
1. The bread should be able to hold a very wet sandwich without breaking apart, I suggest looking for special kind of bread that can do so for customer who like their Sandwich Saggy like myself.
2. Depending on the temperature of the gravy, the beef may need to stay in it for few minutes (3 to 5) to keep maximum tenderness.
3. The Hot peppers are extremely spicy, and they can dominate the taste and hide the deliciousness of your wonderful product. I pushed most of them aside to enjoy the awesome taste of the beef. If there is a way to tune them down so they give a kick, then I think it will be great in my opinion.
Overall, lovely place, I recommend it!

Hot dog restaurant serving all sorts of typical hot dog stand grub. There was an ice cream store next door which we didn't try. Our food was fine, nothing super great or exciting. I was shocked at the prices! A kids hot dog meal with drink and fries was 10.00! An adult meal was around 16.00. For hot dogs, fried and chicken pita It's very expensive.
