Everything I have ever purchased from here has exceeded my expectations and when I bring donuts to work, everyone raves how good they are. Other than sub par chain donut places in the city, there are almost none that I know of in the NW side of Chicago that are as good as Deerfield's. I do not mind the drive bc I know Im getting the best donuts.

The lesson learned this Tuesday morning: arrive at Deerfields Bakery early in the morning if you want to have a broad variety of items from which to choose. We were hoping for cookies, but we're very disappointed at the dearth of available product. Settled for a cheesecake to share with out of town relatives. Tasty and very rich, but not the dessert we were planning on.

My fiance bought me a lemon cake, cartoon cake for my birthday that was extremely impressive. It tasted good and it was super cute!! So much so that I’m getting my wedding cake from here. Went for a cake tasting that was very organized and well put together. They also offer delivery which is a plus.

I’ve placed orders for Christmas holidays and they do an amazing job. Guests at our holiday always comment on how festive the dessert tray looks and how delicious it all is! We always pick up additional donuts and coffee for breakfast too!! Excellent bakery!

I ordered 3 pies for Thanksgiving. I went into the store to pick them up, waited in the line, and when I got to the front they couldn't find my order... but that was because I placed it for the wrong day! It wouldn't have been filled until the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Well, they had the stock on hand so they filled the order & changed my online one so I wouldn't get double-charged. Then my family loved the pies! Their Dutch Apple was the best of the 3.

Ordered a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting for my Mom’s 91st birthday. The cake was just OK, nothing special and very disappointing. When no one at the birthday celebration wants to take leftover birthday cake home, you know it really wasn’t vey good.
