The bagel was really good. I got the Monte Cristo on an Asiago bagel. I recommend if the sweet and savory combo is your jam (pun intended haha). It comes with smoked turkey, cheese, butter and raspberry jam.
The service was good. For only two workers they managed the line really well.

Good food and friendly service.
This is a WONDERFUL little bakery in the heart of downtown DeKalb. A small town feel combines with a fantastic menu to create a gem of a restaurant.
The bagels are made daily, so when they are gone, they're gone! I love that! Barb City Bagels offers unique and fresh bagel sandwiches, with a wide selection available. The bagels are great, not super dense, which makes them not only taste better but more enjoyable to eat. Customers love Barb City Bagels for their coffee and their bagels and bagel sandwiches are SO good. The bagels, like asiago, blueberry, and french toast, are fresh and delicious. The 2 guys behind the counter were friendly and fast. Some customers found the price for two bagels with cream cheese to be too expensive. Despite some issues, customers are willing to give the restaurant another chance.
