Do not order on Mothers Day! I placed my order over the phone and was told to pick it up 40 minutes later, which was long but not a problem since it was Mothers Day. However, 10 minutes before pick up time, I was told that they would not be able to place the order and they canceled my order. I would have appreciated it if they could have told me in the first place that they were too busy to take orders over the phone.
Thought this place was pretty good. Our waiter, James, was great, not like most waiters. Pancakes were super fluffy. Definitely a good breakfast place to stop in to while in Dekalb
Very standard breakfast place with amazing wait staff and perfect sunny side up eggs! Can't recommend enough if you want to feel welcome first thing in the morning. :)
I would not recommend this place at all, service is terrible, staff stands in corner chatting and secretly checking their phones. Not at all experienced, friendly, or courteous. GO DOWN THE ROAD TO EGG HAVEN!!!!!.....EXCELLENT SERVICE WITH SMILES AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, PROFESSIONAL, EXPERIENCED STAFF!!! DELICIOUS FOOD AND HOT COFFEE.....
Don't know how the food was. Waited 15 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant that appeared to be fully staff and was never once spoken to or looked at. Servers divided a check on one table next to us, the busser bussed the other table on the other side of us, all the other staff was either huddled together talking at the host stand or looking at their phones standing next to the computer, oh, and one, large, cheery server walked by us 5 times singing Christmas carols. But nobody looked at us, nobody said hello, nobody even said "hold on, I'll be with you in a minute." So I don't know about the food, but the service is non-existent.
The meat lovers skillet was delicious, but a little greasy. Waitress was very nice but didn't check for coffee refills often enough. There was only six customers in the restaurant and it was 7:40 am. Overall it was a good experience. I had pancakes and half of my skillet to take home.
Minimal millennial service. Water was spilled and every single one of the staff walked past and did nothing even when asked. The staff was in the corner socializing and looking at their phones the whole time. The food was not worth the bill. They gave us 3 tiny pieces of avocado that were all rotten. I was so hungry, but the food didn't taste right. We were there early and the tables and floors were still dirty. Cortland has a much better diner with better food and better service for your money.
Abby was our server. She always had a smile on her face. Great biscuits and gravy and hash browns. French toast was amazing!
Best waitress ever, super friendly and helpful! Good food too!
Service: 2 stars

Usually our go- to spot but today 9/23
I had the worst experience here about 1 month ago. There was a bug in my water, and I received horrible customer service from the waitress (Jasmine I think was her name). I do not recommend this place
Great food
Friendly staff and great service very good food
This is long overdue, but let me tell you, this ain't no burnt brown water & Bisquick type of joint, alright? You're gonna SAVOR the FLAVOR at Flappy's. The coffee is fresh and flavorful, the pancakes are fluffy, moist, and delightful, the food is hot & delicious, the prices are fair, and the service is always great. Breakfast food is something I hold near and dear to my heart, and Flappy's is a top-notch spot for it. Check it out if you haven't, you won't regret it.
