We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always a great experience! The food is delicious whether we get breakfast or lunch, and the service is fantastic as well. We were pleasantly surprised on our last visit that some of the dishes have gotten bigger in portion size! Some of our favorites are the trailblazer with pancakes, the Mexican skillet, the teriyaki bowls, and any of their homemade soups. Overall, the Junction is a DeKalb staple with great vibes, food, and workers!

Had an amazing breakfast at The Junction this morning! The pancakes were incredibly soft and buttery — perfectly golden on the outside and fluffy on the inside. You can tell they’re made fresh and served hot off the griddle.

The coffee was rich and fresh, exactly what you want to start your day right. And the eggs with cheese? Absolutely delicious — cooked just right, creamy, and full of flavor.

If you’re looking for a spot that serves comforting, high-quality breakfast with that classic homemade taste, The Junction is definitely worth the visit. I’ll be back for sure! 🥞☕🍳

I stopped in here for somewhere warm to eat while on a trip. Absolutely kindest staff! Very patient and attentive. I had the Mexican burrito, it was delicious! It came with a side of salsa and was so big I could only eat half! My bill was under $10 as well.

The food here is great (especially breakfast). Never had a bad meal. Service is good. It's just a quiet, homey kinda place. Excellent old school diner.

No frills breakfast diner. A long time Dekalb establishment, specializing in breakfast. Serves all the basics/classics that one would expect; eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. nothing fancy, but they are great at what they do. Great prices. The homemade bran muffins were exceptional. Have eaten here in the past, would eat here again.

I've been going to the Junction on and off my entire life off because I don't live as close.

Admittedly, my rating is more about my feelings for this place than the food itself. There's nothing wrong with the food - it's good - but it's the fact that not much has changed here since I first got to DeKalb in the 80s. The service was always excellent and accommodating and the food is what you'd expect for a diner-style restaurant. When folks come back to town, this is a spot they want to visit because it feels like home.

Great hometown restaurant, love going here for breakfast. The omelets are SO good and my kiddo loves the mickey pancakes. Atmosphere is quant with the train vibes. And if your lucky, they have a train up by the ceiling that makes laps around the room.

Honestly, when I moved to Dekalb five years ago, I was scared. As corny as it sounds, I wanted an awesome local diner. And that’s what I receive here. Chris is amazing and accommodating, have never had one issue. Everyone there is very sweet and it’s much appreciated.
