Yen Ching is a DeKalb icon and a family business. The food is excellent and probably the BEST Chinese food in DeKalb. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and delightful to talk to. The two sisters that serve you are very fun and witty. Be patient as it’s literally just 3 people running the entire restaurant, but it is very well worth the wait. The food comes out pretty quickly. Yen Ching offers great authentic food with the most friendly service. The food is very good and very abundant, with reasonable prices. The dinner for seven provides enough leftovers for lunch the next day. It is American Chinese take-out at its finest. The staff takes care in preparing and sourcing the food, using fresh vegetables and fresh meat in simple, palate-pleasing sauces. It is a DeKalb staple.
