The sushi & sashimi are fantastic, everything was mouthwatering from the fatty tuna to the sea urchin apps, and of course the rolls, we had some classic rolls, as well as signature ones with tuna and mango and softshell crab rolls. (and the kids loved the donkatsu, thankfully they haven't discovered sushi, yet!)

I ordered a half order of the black dragon, which is a specialty maki. The ratio and texture of the rice were ideal. The outside became charred, resulting in a grill-like appearance and scent to the brittle eel meat. The black fish eggs scattered on the maki gave it a peculiar texture, and the tobiko's color fit the theme. What a welcome appetizer for me.I ordered their lunch special salmon bento box for my main course. Every section has distinct protein, carbohydrates, and vegetables. Perfectly cooked salmon was topped with shredded fried potatoes, and a stir-fried mixture of veggies with a teriyaki sauce. The gyoza had a tasty filling and a crunchy outside. Since the bento box included miso soup and salad, I believe they should replace the cabbage salad with something else. The food was tasty and substantial.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. This place focuses on high quality, fresh sushi. I would consider myself a sushi expert. Been to Japan over 5 times.This place has the highest standards I would compare to Japan.I'd highly recommend this place to everyone, you won't be disappointed.We wanted to try everything and the server did a good job with their recommendations.Esp for the location. I felt like there are not many options for high quality sushi in the suburbs.The pictures itself shows how well they prepare each dish.
My wife and I have been coming to this place since they change ownership and name to Ari Sushi. This is hands down the best sushi around the area. If you live in the des plaines surrounding area give this place a try. You will not regret it!Here are My must trys:Apps- spicy tuna rice crispy, jalapeño bombs and if you enjoy raw seafood give the maui island a try!For sushi we recommend the following:Sunny, king kong, dragón, golden lobster.Honestly, the chefs are super creative and the presentation is really nice. This is a fantastic sushi joint. I’ve been to many many sushi restaurants in many markets. I would put Ari up with the best of the best. The signature nigiri is strikes the perfect balance of modern and traditional. The signature rolls are brilliant. They come in half sizes, so try a few!
