“Worth the wait and must try! Beautiful and unique venue in the unassuming town of Des Plaines. Our server was kind and welcoming, food was delicious, drinks were fun and tasty. The only two items that were less than ideal, the horrible acoustics (incredibly loud) and although it was too on my list to try, the chicken shawarma rolls were underwhelming. Even with those two items, the great service and food quality it's still worth the 5 star review. We sat upstairs, which very much appreciated, being out of the hustle and bustle of the downstairs. Looking forward to trying the brunch and the outside patio... overlooking the water.”

The sushi & sashimi are fantastic, everything was mouthwatering from the fatty tuna to the sea urchin apps, and of course the rolls, we had some classic rolls, as well as signature ones with tuna and mango and softshell crab rolls. (and the kids loved the donkatsu, thankfully they haven't discovered sushi, yet!)”

“Awesome steakhouse in Rivers casino! We love Gibson's/Hugo's downtown, so it's always fun to go to this location at the casino. Steak, salads, cocktails, wine, desserts, all amazing! Service is great and the manager always seems to be around and checking in with tables. Always a fantastic experience”

I was not having a good day but tried my best to not show it. As I'm eating I saw a man come in. Eat by himself and then left. My surprise when I went to go pay. This man had paid for my food. Who ever it was Thank you so much if this is ever read. That was a beautiful gesture and completely made my day. I got my son his haircut and took him for some ice cream afterwards. “My husband and I have been coming here for years. The owners, Chris and Nikki and the bartender, Monica are always welcoming and take good care of us. Nice atmosphere, good company, lots of tvs if you want to watch the game, great music playing in the background. The food is always very good and freshly made. Some of our favorites are the chicken kabobs, the Jerry's Special, and the burgers, which are excellent! Half price martinis on Wednesdays with a long list of options to choose from. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there and they were very accommodating and everyone had a great time!”

“We've been coming here for several years with a break also for several years because something changed and the good wasn't good. The last 3 yrs, this place has been amazing! There aren't a lot of good Chinese places around here so I am ecstatic this place exists and we eat here almost every week. Its our only chinese take out place now. Noodle dishes are great, rice, egg foo young, salt & pepper chicken, chicken wings, pot stickers. Really everything. We constantly try new dishes and they have all been good. If you've been here once and didn't like it, I recommend you try them again. Food is always done quickly too.”

“I notice reviews are mixed since it changed from Mr. Pup to Americana. My experience was great. I ordered a 6" Italian sub and it was only six bucks, with fresh ingredients piled high. This was a legit deli sub and the best bargain I've found in the Chicagoland area.Perhaps the owner listened to the complaints and took them to heart. Maybe I just got lucky.There's the usual selection of dogs, burgers, gyros, Italian beef, and more. Prices are great on all of it. They even offered a bowl of chicken noodle soup for $3.50.Staff was friendly, and were even polite to a guy complaining that his order wasn't ready before he got there. He promised to call ahead next time, they promised to have it waiting if he did.It's a dated building but everything was clean and comfortable. At the price for their subs you can't beat it.”

“One of the better subways I've been to, had subway in 5 states and I'd say this would be the second best one I've been to. Wayne, NE subway reps their food best. “Not gonna lie, I ended up here because my husband and I needed a quick snack, and I tried to go to Choo Choo down the street, but they were packed. When I walked in, there was a long line, and that seemed promising, plus it was moving quickly. We wanted something savory, so we ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a goat cheese and pesto croissant, and a spinach quiche. They warmed up the pastries and brought them out to our table pretty quickly. I was surprised the pastries were so good. The croissants were so flakey and delightful. The spinach quiche had a lovely crust. I completely forgot to take pictures because I was in a rush and starving, but I also saw a security sign that said no camera allowed. I wish they had more savory pastry options with meat, but the ham and cheese croissant was all they had when I visited. I did see that they had sandwiches that could be ordered, so I might try that if I am ever in the area again.”

“Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.”

“I really like this bakery. I mainly come in for the "Ojos de Buey" pastry - the outside is a pastry dough and the middle is yellow cake. Sweet, but not overly so, and perfect with a coffee. Their conchas are pretty good too, and the price can't be beat.”

“We live literally 5-8min away walking, but we never took the decision to go until a couple of days ago. We tried double cheese burger and regular burger with bacon (they come with fries!) onion rings and a chocolate milkshake. They were all delicious, good portions and very reasonable prices. They have a train where they deliver your food, mostly is an experience for kids, but is different. The service was nice too. They get suuuper busy on weekends, so you have to be prepare because there are not that many spaces to sit. In any case, I believe worth the wait.The place opened a long time ago and after having been closed a couple of times they came back. You can read its history on their website! Recommended.Parking: The place has its own dedicated space for parking, I would say it has room for around 20 cars. Since is so close to my house, we walk there but it's always super full and I still can see a couple of spaces. Also, there are a couple of areas around that you could find some parking space if you find that one full.”

“I've been looking for posole everywhere since I moved out of Chicago, where do I find it in Des Plaines downtown not far from my house. (only on the weekends). It's was like my friend's mother recipe. I tried steak, al pastor, and chicken tacos all were delicious and made fresh not from the day before. Also can we say Amen to warm chips. Both of their salsas were delicious but watch out for the dark red one I thought I was going to die. Everything was delicious and fresh. I feel like if you haven't been here you've past it up a hundred time and never noticed it. Try it you won't be disappointed.”

“One of my favorite pizza places! First thing I tried from Domino's was a sandwich Chicken bacon ranch, and after the sandwich I tried pizza with the same name- Cali chicken bacon ranch. Since then I am not changing it! One of the best I ever tried! I tried the others also- supreme, pacific veggie, but chicken bacon ranch is still #1. Have to mention that service is really good and express! They always prepare everything so fast! People who work there are also very friendly and kind. I created a profile with Dominos which means I am collecting some points. From time to time I am getting free medium pizza with 2 toppings. Now they call it 'emergency pizza' :-D. I would definitely return, the decor was nice like an old New York deli, and even had outdoor seating, although it was too cold and rainy when we went. Easy parking.”

“4/2024 5* First time at this particular TBK. Found it much cleaner and more kept up than other locations. The food was very good. I was disappointed in my Taco Salad. It was half the size I expected. I honestly could have eaten two of them to fill me up. We enjoyed our time in the restauarant.
