“A $16 Stella and the White Sox—What Could Go Wrong?

Don’t think too much about the exorbitant prices—just enjoy yourself! If you have a few hours before your flight, this is a perfectly decent place to grab a drink. And if you’re truly in an emergency, you can even get some food.

With a three-hour layover, I’m sitting here at the long bar with a supposedly 20-ounce Stella for $16, watching the White Sox playoff game. And guess what? I’ll probably have another. Apparently, airport economics has defeated me.

I haven’t eaten here, but I can see some real food coming out of the kitchen—and surprisingly, it actually looks appetizing. Even something as respectable as a Caprese salad.

So, if you’re flying and find yourself over in the B section of Terminal 1, stop in for a drink. Just remember: you’re at the airport, so don’t ask what the prices are unless you really want to know. 😄“
