“So today I had a friend in from out of town and we topped off our afternoon with a visit to Miski Bakery. I was dying to try the alfajores, and they did not disappoint! The very delicate morsels melted in our mouth, and the creamy luscious dollop of dulce de leche caramel was a perfect pairing. In addition we tried the Milhojas/Napoleons in two flavors the Lucuma pastry creme and also the dulce de leche. A thousand layers is correct, these were amazingly tall, crispy and filled with air, both were delicious but the Lucuma(a Peruvian fruit) pastry creme was the standout. It had such a delightful delicate flavor I had never tasted previously. After speaking with Carmen the owner I asked whether or not they ever carried Turrón de doñja Pepa. She just happened to have some freshly baked sitting on the tray behind the counter, but alas it was still awaiting its filling. This gives me a great reason to return and indulge in that special treat. It is prepared every other week. The service was warm and friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood you shouldn't miss out on. I will be returning often.“

Regardless of the time of day or how crowded they are the staff is friendly and incredibly efficient. I've never had to wait on my order for more than a couple of minutes. “We were pleasantly surprised! However, on the website it says some locations have Semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies on Thursdays…if this location had those I’d be here every day. The milk chocolate was just okay, not the best because milk chocolate doesn’t balance out the cookie. That’s why crumbl chocolate chip is bad. Semi-sweet chips are always the better choice! Please bring them to Mt. Prospect! (Not sure why they wouldn’t just be on the menu in the first place and every day, not just Thursdays?) Thank you!“

“We love Eli’s Cheesecake in Chicago and have been coming every year ( at least 10 years as of now) to pick up cheesecakes for the holidays. We usually buy 20+ cheesecakes for our friends and neighbors, and the service is always wonderful. Rosa, the store manager, was always especially kind and helpful during our visits. So and Bryan and the rest of the team this past holiday were friendly and helpful too.

“Delicious! I grew up in des plaines near this bakery and always drove by it but never noticed. My fiance did when we came to visit my family. After a few visits, we finally decided to stop by. I’m glad we did! The place is cozy, almost feels like a cute European cafe. We bought a variety of tiramisu flavors, and the honey cake. They were all so good and fresh tasting. The person who helped us was also very sweet and recommended a few items.“

“Super friendly guys there. This was my 2nd Crumbl stop tonight as the 1st one off Golf (across from golf mill mall) did not honor my free bulls mini cookie. They said they didn’t have any chocolate chip cookies. So I called the one off Touhy Ave in Niles and the fellow named Cesar was super friendly and helpful and said they’d honor it. So I drove there and they did! At the store, Cesar was super friendly and the other fellow working there too. So nice compared to the employees at the Crumbl near me in Skokie. I avoid that location at all costs! They (Skokie location) have no customer service skills and would benefit from some training in customer service. Could learn a thing or two from Cesar and his coworker.“

“What can I say: the bakery, food, and drink offerings here are outstanding and the owner is incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about what she's doing.

You really can't go wrong with any of the grab and go cake, cupcake, or pastry items. We've gotten many of them, and we've also gotten special order cakes from here that have been wonderful. Their breakfast burritos (vegetarian or not) are a great quick breakfast option. The quiches (which are relatively new) are exceptional. The hibiscus agua fresca is a lovely refreshing drink for a hot day.

I hope this place stays here for a long time because its popularity has added liveliness to the Roger Williams area.“

“We went there for the first time yesterday. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I got the apple slice, oatmeal cranberry cookies and a raspberry kolaczki. “I had such a wonderful experience at this bakery! I tried four different cake slices: mango, red velvet, chocolate, and tiramisu, and every single one was delicious. The mango slice was fresh and flavorful, the red velvet was soft and perfectly sweet, the chocolate cake was rich and decadent, and the tiramisu was absolutely amazing.

The lovely lady at the counter was very kind, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience even better. The bakery itself was very clean, cozy, and welcoming.

“My grandpa ordered cookies from The Cookie Garden for my grandma and mom every Valentine’s day for as long as I can remember. After he passed away last summer, my sister and I decided to keep the tradition going and surprise them. They both had flavor preferences and I was unable to remember them. I emailed them to see if they’d be able to look up his past orders. I received a response the next morning from Jeannie and she was able to find the past orders and told me the flavors he usually order them. She remembered my grandpa and had planned on calling to check-in with him, since she was expecting his order this year. The shipping was fast and the cookies arrived on the day I requested, they were also able to accommodate to their flavor preferences. “Do not miss a chance to get a sub from this wonderful shop attached to the bakery here. The ladies inside were very friendly and welcoming and the sandwich was a 10 out of 10. Fresh bread, fresh ingredients, I even watched her snip a few basil leaves off their basil plant in the front window for my sub. Just a really fantastic little shop. Be aware it is cash only but please don't let that stop you.“
