“The name is slightly misleading, as they are not open outside of hosting events.Saw a local artist there and was very impressed with the venue. Very atmospheric and with a pretty good sound system. They have good lighting and smoke effects as well. The venue does do a lot of shows and poetry and art stuff. So check their calendar to see what they offerOnly complaint is that the refreshments are pretty overpriced. However, they got you and what else are you going to do? The tea was actually very good however. Would recommend even at the high price pointVegetarian options: They offer eesatz dairy free milksParking: Parking lot in front of the cafe is sure by other businesses and is kind of small. There is additional parking around the corner. Not too far of a walkWheelchair accessibility: People in wheelchairs might have an issue as there are a lot of tables in the hallways are kind of cramped“
“Walked in for Tłusty Czartek and it took about 10 mins in and out to grab a variety of pączki. The pączki variety were worth the price and they were bigger than usual and made really well. My favorite was was one with the edible floral pieces on top. I recommended.“
“Foodwise, is truly a wonderful story, somebody in the kitchen knows what to do and that translates all the way to our braines stirring waves of good sensations.Their turkish culture habits, the hours limitation for certain types of food, do not always overlap with other's schedule or expectations. The staff is very polite and forthcoming but that's so much they can do.The atmosphere is a bit bizzare, the music for example, is not in tune with the specific, the way that the tables are set, suggests rather a train fare than a regular restaurant.Their sweets shop however, is there to take away all possible clouds and make your day.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“I just had my very first order from Sweet Reserve Bakery and I am completely in love! I ordered a variety. the cookie butter in a jar was probably the best dessert I've ever had! so delicious, perfect serving. super reasonable prices! 5 stars, 4thumbs up!“
“We stopped in for a special treat. They had a good selection of donuts. The shop was decorated nicely and the man who was working there was inviting, helpful and nice. We decided on 6 donuts, Boston creams, pistachio, blueberry cheesecake, apple cider and bacon maple. We enjoyed them all! The prices are average for this type of shop and it does have a nice area to sit and eat if you want to do that. Overall, I recommend stopping in for a delicious donut. We will be going back whenever we are in Elmhurst again.“
“Rosie does such an amazing job with cakes! This was her first time doing a burn cake and she did an amazing job. This is actually my second time ordering my birthday cake with her and it’s been so good. She does not disappoint! The photos don’t do them justice! And the flavor… just perfection! 1000/10“
“Very welcoming bakery with amazing breads, home made snacks, focaccia, pastries, donuts, packaged speciality italian products and much more. Highly recommend stopping by try for yourself!!Parking: A Parking lot to pull into and lots of spaces very close to entrance.“
“I hired Roughedges Confectionery for my daughters’ bridal shower after sampling some of their treats at local events. They were not only beautiful but insanely delicious! Everyone at the event commented on her desserts saying they were not only gorgeous, but the best cupcakes, flourless chocolate bites and cookies they’ve ever eaten. Kai and her team went above and beyond to make the event perfect by being so easy to work with, displayed the desserts so beautifully and actually had a member of her team pick mint sprigs from her garden that I forgot to bring! I can’t say thank you enough for making the event just perfect!Dietary restrictions: Kai also made gluten free options for several guests which were delicious!“
“Had lunch in...chicken parmesan was dry, not enough sauce, chicken tasted old, didn't like. Would have liked ice water at table rather than having to purchase $2 bottles of water. Bread was excellent. Paid and tipped, but no table service, so not sure why.Cannolis that we took to-go for a birthday were fantastic. Rosemary focaccia to-go, also great.“
“This is based off real time. My patient recommended me this bakery and wanted to get my partner some tiramisu. Mind you, it's cash ONLY. The tiramisu is $2.75 so take note. The service was quick but I only had $10 with me. I asked for 5 but then asked for 4 then 3 because of the cash I had. The server was talking to another customer in Italian and was already distracted. Once I saw the price, I told her only 3. She gave me this weird and impatient look and was very rude. Hence why I took 1 star off. It's prolly good food, just very hostile environment if you're not Italian. Update: taste wise the tiramisu is a little on the drier side and has a small layer of chocolate in the bottom. I would prefer going to pasta fresh in Chicago since that tiramisu is a little more moist and fresh.“
“We came here to warm up and get a midday snack since we were in the area. We came an hour before closing and there were still plenty of baked goods available. There was also plenty of seating and it was clean inside. I had a blackberry brownie and a blueberry basil matcha latte. I typically dislike sweet drinks so I was hesitant to order the latte. However, it wasn't overly sweet and the flavor was interesting (in a good way). The blackberry brownie was rich and also delicious. My child had a big chocolate chip cookie and devoured it instantly. I wish we came for lunch since there were intriguing menu items but we will be back if we are in the area!“
“I've been coming to this bakery for at least 20+ years and it's always a treat. Whether getting a slice of their real Italian pizza or a cannoli or some bread/rolls or ordering a cake - you won't go wrong. Huge selection of Italian cookies and pastries as well as most other things that are baked. The biggest issue is once you get something here, no other place will ever be as good.“
“Not gonna lie, I ended up here because my husband and I needed a quick snack, and I tried to go to Choo Choo down the street, but they were packed. When I walked in, there was a long line, and that seemed promising, plus it was moving quickly. We wanted something savory, so we ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a goat cheese and pesto croissant, and a spinach quiche. They warmed up the pastries and brought them out to our table pretty quickly. I was surprised the pastries were so good. The croissants were so flakey and delightful. The spinach quiche had a lovely crust. I completely forgot to take pictures because I was in a rush and starving, but I also saw a security sign that said no camera allowed. I wish they had more savory pastry options with meat, but the ham and cheese croissant was all they had when I visited. I did see that they had sandwiches that could be ordered, so I might try that if I am ever in the area again.“
“This review is brought to you by the letter F! F: resh mochi, rice flour based donuts every time! Rotating flavors to suit every palate. F: amily friendly menu, with Korean hot dogs, donuts, bubble tea, and coffee drinks. F: ind it at the northeast corner of the Milwaukee/Golf intersection next to Fannie May.“
“Wow! This young lady is so sweet! AND the sub was delish. After walking in I noticed they didn’t accept Credit cards. I told her I’d be right back. She offered for me to pay next time! As much as I think she is crazy for offering that, where in this world would anyone ever say that??? How genuinely nice! I am from out of town so yes, I went to grab cash.Thank you! The bread is amazing!“
“Had a phenomenal time talking and eating at this wonderful deli!! Extremely kind people!! The food was amazing. I had the double turkey and cheddar on a fresh Kaiser roll and chicken and dumpling soup. Great drink selection. They have Hungarian delicacies also.“
“i got there right before 2pm on a saturday and there was barely anything left!! was dying to try one of those sandos but what i did get was delicious. mos def home made...sweet, SWEET japanese lady behind counter, and i am all about supporting small local businesses! RUN AS SOON AS THEY OPEN AND BRING CASH!!“
“Old-fashioned neighborhood bakery. Shelf that rings the upper reaches of the bakery is lined with cookie jars. Saturday mornings, the line stretches to the door as customers come in for donuts and coffee cakes.Kuppie's is also generous with community, donating product to help either fundraising.“
“The Best Bakery in the North West suburbs of Chicago. I lived in the area for over 31years before moving to AZ. We have been in Arizona for almost six years and I have been searching for a bakery that comes close to Peterson's. I have not found one yet. The bakeries that I have found in Arizona don't have danish sweet rolls. They don't have the same fillings. The Swedish flops are a special treat. Peterson's was a regular stop on my way home from church. If you enjoy fresh bakery goods and are in the Hoffman Estates area you should try them. They are on W Algonquin Road in Hoffman Estates. I hope they will ship to AZ.“
“She did an incredible job with this 1st birthday cake and delivery was on time, everything as promised!! I could not recommend her more. Flavor of the cake and frosting was also SO GOOD. A lot of time cakes can look pretty but taste terrible. I would highly recommend her.“
“I worked with Dorel when liquidating restaurant equipment. He was knowledgeable, professional and enjoyable at every turn! He even tracked me down after over two years to pay me for a transaction that we had only verbally agree to. This demonstrates great integrity and honesty. I would recommend Champion to anyone!“
“Continental Bakery has been a family favorite since forever. My parents bought cakes and sweets for special occasians, now I'm buying cakes and sweets for my kids and new family special occasians. They always suprise me with their wonderful cakes. I let them be creative and they never disappoint. The best!!“
“I'm not 100% sold on this yet. Don't get me wrong, the cookies are amazing. They had a carrot cake cookie that I would say ok for $5 but their regular size cookies for that same price is where I'm not totally sold. Don't get me wrong, they taste really good. I will definitely try them again, but only for their bigger cookies. The strawberry pretzel was my favorite. The carrot cake with a bit more nuts would be awesome, and I'm one of those that wants raisins with carrot cake. My only negative once again is $5 for a regular sized cookie that is delicious.FYI, there are 2 touchscreens on the counter. That is where you order. They were backwards when we went in and there was absolutely no way of knowing until they finally assisted us. So if they are backwards, flip them around and order.“
“The four stars is for the restaurant itself. This review is regarding a waitress they have working there, Kate. She was a horrible waitress. I asked for a Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi, whichever they have and she told me they have "Mexican Coke" what the hell is that?! I said, you don't have Diet Pepsi, she said yeah we do, I was like well that's what I asked for.She was not attentive and literally forgot about us sitting in the back. I had to get up and go ask someone if she was still there! The guy I asked said she was still there and he would send her back and even then she took a bit to come back to the table. The place wasn't even crowded. Anyway, Kate finally comes and takes our to go order, since we wanted to take some food home too. Comes back with the to go food and checks, there were three of us and she brought three separate checks, great! Well we tipped according to what we felt she deserved (even then, she actually got more than what she deserved). Also by the way, anytime we go out to eat, we are VERY generous tippers, but do tip accordingly.I go to the washroom and come back and she was at the table talking to my sister and when I walked up, I heard her saying, she left me 10% and you left me 18% and she left me 15% and I just wanna know why? Was there something wrong with my service? She was legit upset! I said to her wait, you're actually questioning your tip? She kept saying that she wanted to know if there was something wrong with the service, but she knows what she was doing. I honestly never in my life have ever had anyone do something like this, I was shocked! Not to mention there were other people sitting around and she was pointing at each of us telling us what we gave her for a tip! It was the most absurd thing! The audacity! So she finally walks away and I go ask for the manager, who happened to be the guy that I asked if she was still there. His name was Sam and he was very nice and very apologetic, he said he was embarrassed and that he would let the owner know. I sure hope he did because employees like this (speaking of employees like that, there were a couple of them behind the deli counter giving us some of the hardest looks, they must be friends!) are going to drive away customers! But I do have to say, the food is amazing and it is a great place!“
“I have been craving a place with great Polish food and I think that I found it!! The tripe soup was fantastic!! So we're the golabki and bigos! It reminded me of my late mother's cooking along with both grandmothers. Keep up the good work. If you ever need a taste tester, I am available!!!??“
“Best pastries around!! My favs are the onion roll and the chocolate cream ones. We also always get the crustless bread. I've even gotten my daughter into loving the turtles. We also get the bun with the hot dog inside and a few others. I will say it does get crowded but it's goes relatively fast. And there are trays with tongs to grab the pastries yourself. The staff are super friendly and helpful and inside is cute with cute decor. Also get the tiramsu! Def would recommend to anybody and will always keep coming myself.“
“Fresh bagels, served by polite, attentive staff, are what you will find here. They have both breakfast and lunch covered with a variety of sandwiches. The coolers are stocked with every cream cheese flavor you could want. There are plenty of tables for dine in, and the counter service turns out orders quickly. They don't do the bagel twists some locations make, but they have a couple of "bagel bone" options for your dog.“
“Was in the area and had to make a stop back to Mochinut. The flavors this week looked really good. I love the texture and chewiness of these donuts. They are light and not overly sweet. We enjoyed the original glazed and churro at the store. My sister was expecting the glazed to be a sugar rush. But to her surprise it wasn't too sweet, but perfect! She had her first mochiball and loved the strawberry filling. Great little after noon treat to enjoy with hot tea on this frigid cold weekend!“
“Title: A Delightful Experience at Amante BakeryI recently had the pleasure of visiting Amante Bakery and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into the bakery, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The smell of freshly baked goods filled the air, instantly making my mouth water. The star of the show was undoubtedly their Miodovnik cake. It was a true masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Every bite was an adventure of rich honey, aromatic spices, and layers of moist cake. It was obvious that a lot of care and craftsmanship went into creating this delectable treat. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the owner's Daniela dedication to customer satisfaction. They truly made me feel welcome and valued as a customer. Their attentiveness and willingness to answer my questions and provide recommendations was a testament to their passion for their craft.Overall, my visit to Amante Bakery was a memorable one. Not only did I have the opportunity to indulge in their incredible Miodovnik cake, but I also experienced a level of service that went above and beyond. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone seeking a truly exceptional bakery experience. I will definitely be returning to Amante Bakery for more of their delightful creations. Customer from Children's Land“
“What a fabulous and beautiful coffee shop. Each suburb needs one of these. The cappuccino was perfect, not bitter and not too much milk with lots of frost. We also enjoyed a scone and an apricot and cherry tart which were so yummy. The decor is very welcoming. A very lovely place that I’m looking forward to visiting again and hopefully soon.“
“The taste is definitely there.Selection is really limited if looking for lunch options.Unfortunately, the Veggie or Michele Special Sandwich I ordered, only had a few pieces of cheese and deli meat. The bread tasted very very fresh. I know we say quality over quantity but please fill up the sandwiches! I would love to go back if so. Thank you!“
“I really like this bakery. I mainly come in for the "Ojos de Buey" pastry - the outside is a pastry dough and the middle is yellow cake. Sweet, but not overly so, and perfect with a coffee. Their conchas are pretty good too, and the price can't be beat.“
“Great place for breakfast !- Ordered the Omega Skillet- Good ambiance.- Big portions and tasty food compared to the small price.- Big pastries variety at the entrance counter.- Can accommodate big groups too.- The staff came to our table often for the refills or to clear the table.- They serve a shortcake at the beginning of the service instead of bread like any other restaurant. (Big plus)“
“Amazing cupcakes!!!! Beautifully made with care and so delicious too! They have happy hour from 5-6 and have half price cupcakes!!!!!! Absolutely amazing and the workers there are so nice too!!! Went in for 2 walked out with 4!!!!! So excited to come back and try the other cupcakes!!!!! It's a great woman owned small business and everyone should go show some love!!!!“
“The cookies are amazing fun how there’s different ones every week the very accommodating but the screens can be out of order and that can be annoying. Plus sometimes there’s sole confusion using the app. But dispute those it’s a great business establishment and love there rewards program!“
“These days I'm not sure a bakery can really deliver everything one'd hope for in the past. Lezza has a great variety of bakery products, and you'll find some of them to be very reasonably priced. I love the lemon knot cookies and the Italian ice, and you'll find traditional cookies here too as well as danishes and donuts. There are very few independently owned places anymore with variety and low-cost options for treats and coffee, but this is one of them!“
“hands down BEST CRUMBL LOCATION IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA!!! We have a store literally 3 minutes from our house and we still drive to Oakbrook because this store has the best selections and the staff is always on point and very inviting!! Been coming here since they opened up and would not go elsewhere!“
“Pay attention to the ambiance of your bakery. Creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere can enhance the overall dining experience, encouraging customers to spend more time in your establishment and potentially increasing their spending.“
“I experienced time travel when I walked into the bakery. It reminded me of my family's bakery from the 1970s. The danish and donut did not disappoint my nostalgic tastebuds which were super fresh. I do wish they were open on Sunday so I could get a fresh treat.“
“The good outweighs the bad. Food and Beverage: 5 STARS. It's always delicious. They have the best cakes; we come here for all of our birthday cakes. Their creme and berry filled croissants are perfect. Staff: 5 STARS. Always friendly and patient. Ambiance: 3.5 STARS. It's nothing spectacular but serves as a good enough place to meet and chat over goodies. Cleanliness: 2.5 STARS. This place consistently looks dirty. The tables are crumby, the floor is in dire need of a sweep and mop, and all of the glass on the food displays need a deep clean. Just looks grubby.“
“I was in the Villa Park area and decided to use Yelp to find a bakery in the area. I came across Kuppie's Bakery and decided to drive there. I was warmly greeted by a lady working at the counter. I asked for a dozen donuts and picked which donuts I wanted. I waited until I got home to try a chocolate donut. This was one of the best donuts I've ever had. My wife and son also agreed on how delicious they were. I will definitely go back.“
“This is located next to Woori Village. Huge parking lot. The bakery/cafe looked spacious upon entering. We only came here to check out their bread selection. We ended up getting a variety. Prices are not expensive, the size of the bread is not like a pea size. I feel like people use the word “expensive” or “pricey” these days, just because it’s not less than $1. They also have coffee, teas, cakes, and bingsoo. The woman at the register was very nice. The shop was clean.“
“I wanted to keep this place a secret, but considering how many people were here before Easter Sunday, I guess it's not a secret anymore! I have never ordered anything that disappointed me from this bakery. It is worth every single penny. My guests are always impressed by the desserts I order. The staff is so very friendly, compassionate, helpful, and fast. They DEFINITELY deserve some tips after the crowds today so I gave up a $10 willingly ( ALWAYS LEAVE A TIP FOR STAFF AND MAKE THEIR LIFE A LITTLE EASIER WITH A LIVING WAGE ;) ). I spent about $99 on two boxes of impressive and pretty pastries, a tray of cookies, and a chocolate egg. No doubt we will be long time customers. Also, note to self: order the big tray of pizza.“
“This place is a hidden gem. great food, great portions, great prices and great friendly staff. my roommate and my friend Heather told me about this place and I'm hooked and come here like 3 times a week to eat great breakfast and do homework. the prices are very affordable and I highly recommend this place. Yelp review 5 star.l ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Discovered a hidden gem at a small Polish grocery store – their lunch salad was a delightful surprise. Freshness and flavor were at the forefront, showcasing the quality of ingredients. The variety of Polish specialties added a unique twist to the salad. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made the experience even more enjoyable. A must-try for those craving a taste of authentic Polish goodness in a casual setting. #PolishGrocery #FreshFlavors #HiddenGem #SaladDelight #LocalEats“
“Courageous Bakery and Cafe has some solid breakfast and pastry choices. My husband is a huge sucker for breakfast burritos and I am a huge fan of buttery, flakey biscuits. Courageous has both so it's a win-win for us! Besides breakfast, we would typically order croissants, cupcakes, and/or 4 inch birthday cake to go. None of those have disappointed us. The only downside is the horchata loca latte was somewhat mediocre in which both horchata and coffee flavors were underwhelming.“
“Great Japanese style bakery with fresh, light and tasty cakes. Much better than comparable Korean bakeries as the price is more affordable and cake is much better tasting than what you would find at a Tous les jours. Definitely recommend this bakery for all your cakes and yummy goodness.“
“I’m a gluten free girl and it’s hard to find good dessert that’s gluten free and cheap. My mom had surprised me with a too good to go bag from here and OH MY GOD. I think probably the best cookies I’ve ever had. My favorite was the pecan Carmel, I think it was the best cookie. And would eat these everyday if I could. I live in the city so I’m not able to come here often. But next time I’m in the suburbs I’m headed here for sure!“
