$10 cover for 1 hour and half show with a break .
$50 for 2 old fashions . At the performance one song performed was put to a halt because the drummer said the beat was off. Upon going to bar to order , staff had to get bartender from dancing with patrons to order drinks. Bartender delivered to wrong table where other patrons began to drink our drinks. My date had to get up and inform the bartender she gave our drinks to someone else. Waited for bartender to re pour our drinks and deliver our drinks. Addressed my date with wrong name to confirm the “credit card” and waited for assurance of the “best old fashion”. It was not best old fashion with regular cubes and too sweet. The bartender asked about last call at 10:10 . She was incorrect with the closing time of the establishment.
I do not recommend this establishment for a traditional speak easy vibe. Decor comes off cheap and just simple bad customer service.
At 70+ for 2 drinks and a live performance.
I would return and very much enjoyed the location in St. Charles.

The concept is there but it misses the marks for the following reasons:
A true speak easy has a sit down bar, intimate seating with dim lighting and great drinks.
I've never been to a speak easy where drinks were served in a plastic cup and there was no cocktail menu. I dont go to speakeasies for a malibu pineapple but a hand crafted cocktail that the recipe was given thought and consideration to.
And truth be told, when someone tells me they can make a GREAT old-fashion and proceed to put a bunch of ice in a plastic cup followed by a ton of cherry syrup... I'm out.
Having a bookshelf hidden door as an entry doesn't automatically make a place a speakeasy. This place is simply a bar with neat decorations and a stage- a live music bar really.

Live Blues and Jazz music every Tuesday and Saturday. Nice venue. A little room for dancing in the rear of the venue.

Stopped by tonight. It specifically says on the website that you do not need a ticket to go to their establishment. Security turned us away because we didn’t have tickets. Someone should communicate no ticket necessary to the security workers. Very disappointing.

This place is nice for a quiet date night. We were here for a magic-comedy show and if it wasn't so far from my house I would totally make this a more regular thing in my life. The food for this event is not much to choose from but what's offered is good. Look at the website they have lots to offer so your more than bound to find something you'll like.

I miss the original Bourbon n' Brass location in Evanston. This location has potential but it is currently not a speakeasy, as the bartender said he can't make an old fashioned. There was no menu to choose from either. I hope it improves over time and I'll definitely check it out again in the future!

I was completely mislead on what Bourbon and Brass Speakeasy was .. Open Table asked me about a table. I got a reservation for 3 people at 7 p.m. as the entertainment, Adam Ezra who was outstanding, was to start at 8:30 p.m. We arrived on time. Workers seemed a bit confused. There was no food and no table reserved for us. The only food was downstairs at "Des Pizza" and I have to say it was about the worst pizza I have ever had. The only choices were pizza, hot dogs, popcorn and candy. Why is open "table" servicing entertainment when there is no food? Confusing. The actual venue was unique and very comfortable! Adam Ezra and his band were fantastic!! I felt bad for them though because downstairs at the large theater there was a Donna Summer tribute concert going on. We could hear it upstairs and so could the Adam Ezra band. It did not bother us while they were playing but between songs and when Adam was talking you could hear the music from downstairs. I loved my chairs .. so comfortable and a nice intimate space.

Great new venue for entertainment. There are good shows planned for the future. Ron Onesti did a fantastic job revitalizing the Des Plaines Theatre and the Bourbon N Brass Speakeasy.

This a must do for every couple out there. What a place! Incredible from beginning to end. The secret door to get inside leads to this room from another era. The comedy was great, and the place is something you have to see to believe.

Saw a recent show at the theatre. They couldn't make all old-fashioned, but the bartender was really nice and still poured a nice gin & tonic.
