This place is truly amazing. It is SO sad that they will be closing permantanely going forward. I'm going tonight one last time before they close. The French onion soup is by far the best, the service makes you feel super fancy and important and the mashed potatoes are so rich. I've been going for the past 3 years. Sad situation as to why there closing. or I would of recommended the place.

Cafe La Cave is closing, and we are very sorry to see it go. The food, service, and ambience were all excellent. They still make the best Caesar Salad. We will miss it. I ordered the Mahi Mahi special served with sides of garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were exquisite. Light, very flavorful, and with the perfect balance of garlic and butter. The Mahi Mahi, was perfectly prepared in a lemon buttery, garlic sauce. For dessert, we had the upside down chocolate soufflé. Again, very delicious. If you can book a reservation before its last night (which I think is on Friday 3/24), I would highly recommend doing so.

We LOVED it and will sorely miss this iconic restaurant that has become a tradition for so many these past 46 years! Our love to Gus and all the family and workers for many moments of joy, great food, and unbeatable ambience! Don't need more real estate— wish all this could be reversed for La Cave to remain another 50 years!!! The Rageb Family ?

The Dinner was outstanding! Crab Cakes, Lobster Bisque, Seafood Medallions, Vegan Risotto, Steak Diane (prepared tableside) Baked Potato and to top it off whipped cheesecake & Bananas Foster (cooked tableside). All cooked to perfection and sealed with a Chef's Kiss. Over 40yrs of excellence! Happy to have one last experience before you close for good. Best Wishes to ALL at the Cave and wish you ALL the best in your new endeavors. Thank you for the memories.

You felt it right when you walked in. It was more a night club than a restaurant. Management should really focus on getting noise levels lowered. Having a live musician singing 50s songs doesn't help. Siente the night yelling at my wife just so she can hear me. With that said, the food was excellent overall. Wife had the lamb chops, while I had the seafood medallion. We also had the beef satay and crab cake appetizers which were really tasty. Our soups weren't that great though. Wife went with the French onion soup and tasted watered down. I had the lobster bisque which tasted more like tomato soup. But those main entrees were spectacular. The chops were super tender and the seafood was cooked perfectly with an amazing risotto. While I loved the food, we won't be returning because of the ambiance.

Since these are their final weeks of business it was very busy and even with a reservation.we had to wait over 30 min for a table. Service was good, food hot and tasty. Bad end to the evening when our waiter lost and couldn't find our credit card.....

A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure to play at Cafe La Cave Banquet Hall and we were pleasantly surprised. Before our band started setting up, the banquet hall's manager - Randy made some upgrades around the stage as we'd requested. He was kind enough to oblige to all our requests during and after the party. The food was awesome too. Thank you for your professionalism.ORIENT BAND

It is a shame to see the doors close. As you state each milestone happened there. Having been enjoying the Dover Sole for over 40 years. I was asked once why I didn't try something different. I replied "why isn't it very good anymore?" From my 16th,18th, and 21st Birthday, my High School graduation, countless dates...Heck being able to impress my guests by just signing my name on the back of the bill, to be billed later (after I turned 21 and on a $400+ checks no less) no place like that anymore.... at least not for my family...While I can't say every meal was 5 stars I know I'm not always on my A game either...Hope to make it one last time before the candles go out and the pear brandy is empty!

I know they are closing in a month but our (my husband and I) dinner experience on Valentine's Day was disappointing. I thought they'd want to go out on a higher note after 40+ years. Staff was inattentive and food was over cooked. Oh well.

A true gem of a restaurant! This unique dining experience is a must visit. The ambiance is truly unique and unforgettable. The quality of food meets all expectations, for some even exceed. If you get a chance to go before they close their doors in March 2023, go and enjoy yourself!Parking: Plenty of free parking

What an incredible last meal to have at cafe la cave. Obviously very sad to hear they are closing. My husband and I had our wedding here in 2016 so this place holds a special place in our hearts. The food was absolute perfection and loved the gentleman playing music and singing. Beautiful ambiance!

The ambience of the restaurant is unique. The food and service were excellent. Considering the number of people at the restaurant, the noise level was minimal. Very good place to go for a quiet, romantic, or small group gathering.

We got married at Cafe La Cave 15 years ago and it was just as good on our anniversary as it was on our wedding day! Randy and Gus, take extreme pride in what they do to create a memorable experience every time! The staff is amazing, Tino is our favorite!! if you have not been, you are missing out!! Food is outstanding!!

Unique environment. Service was top-notch. Food was underwhelming considering the prices. First bite of scallop had a piece of shell which hurt my tooth when I bit down on it. Made me hesitant to go in for a second bite. Just ok...not sure I would return.

First time dining here. Made a reservation a few months ago to dine after an event at the Allstate Arena. Upon arrival we were seated right away. The ambience is great and the dining room is exactly how I like it. Small. It did take some time for greeting and be provided a menu and have our drink order taken. The better half ordered a Paloma but we were told that they didn't have the ingredients to make it. For an upscale bar, not having the grapefruit juice seemed a tad odd. The entrees took about 45 minutes to come out, but I feel the wait was worth it. We ordered the Steak Au Poivre and Steak Diane. Note: it's not every day they make the Diane table side. Assuming it's only on the weekends. It was also great to see how the staff was constantly moving around and helping each other. Every time someone walked pass, they filled out waters and cleared the table. Don't get that kind of experience at many places nowadays and it's pretty refreshing. All in all it was a great experience and would highly recommend it. Next time we go to an event in the area I'm definitely down to stop back in.
