This place is a national treasure and needs to be protected at all costs! I have been dreaming about their fried chicken and potato wedges all day! Gus the owner is a classic! This food slaps and I'm about to get down on this grub! All Gas! No Brakes!
This used to be a very good place but everything is outrageously expensive they charged almost $20 for a chicken sandwich fries and a soda pop

The server brought out my order; chicken sandwich, fries & water w/ lemon ($13.49)
& a milkshake ($2.29) that I didn’t order. She asked me if it was okay that she charged me for it? I told her no thanks, I didn’t order that. She said “I’ll see what I can do” ran in/out & handed me $1.50?
After talking to the owner he apologized & explained the internet prices are incorrect. Which is okay but the price nearly doubled.

I've catered parties from Charcoal Delights and loved the food. Recently, I went with my best friend Bryan, and the food was superior once again. He flew into town and had missed their Gyros! I live here and come with our family often.
Mr. Gus makes this place even better with his million dollar smile and always puts his customers first! Broasted Chicken is so tasty and fresh. Love the cheese ? fries! Souvlaki is incredible - a taste of Greece! Great service! Clean restaurant - Tasty food - Great for families. The patio is amazing.

I'm not sure what recently happened to this place. I can't say the food is bad, it's actually decent. But, the last 5x I called in the past month I've either been put on hold after getting picked up for over 5 minutes and I hang up. Or, the really frustrating times are when they simply refuse to pick up any calls. It's too bad because I really enjoyed the food and it's near to my house. The good part is that I discovered Charcoal Flame. It's Greek owned and the food is AMAZING. It's located in Morton Grove about 15 minutes from this location.

Went there to support a local school fundraiser and received great friendly service, tasty food and at a price less than McDonalds charges for their fast food which didn't come close to Charcoal Delights! I'll be back.
Classic Chicago food (gyros, hot dogs, Italian beef, burgers, chicken, breakfast items) in a comfortable atmosphere with great service. When it's not too busy, they bring your order to the table, and even check on you later! Prices have gone up, like everywhere these days, but are still reasonable.
